Not enough, nearly.

About 2500 in 5.56 loose in ammo cans, 25 loaded 30-round magazines
About 1000 in .40 S&W.

Off right now to visit a shop and buy a Vector Arms Underfolder, some mags, a case, some ammo, etc.  That is, of course, if they still have it.  IF they don't then I guess I won't spend the money today.

26 loose rounds of Wolf .223(For the range)
1 round of .22cal (Found this at the range)
1 round of some .50cal someone gave me (A gift)

1 box of XM193 for SHTF scenarios,I figure 20 rounds should be plenty to protect myself.

just out of curiousity, and please dont take this the wrong way....

I understand having a lot of rarer ammo around...i know the 7.62 soviet and 5.45 are rarer and rarer and it may not come back for a while...

but why 12,000 of 9mm?  I cannot foresee a situation where I would need that much ever...my ammo is more like the original posters...and I only own 2 calibers of guns (.44 mag and .45 ACP, although 5.56mm is soon to join that)....

I just am confused...dear lord, where do you keep it all?  Can you shoot that much?  Do you have time to shoot that much?  God, I wish I did...but, if I had that ammo the chances are the majority of it would be in my will....

I don't have any guns at my place and I don't have any ammo, and when I get a phone call asking me to describe my security system so they can make me a quote on a better one I laugh.

And I don't reload because my home equity loan says I can't store explosives or gunpowder in the house.

Blue bomber...you must be kidding...right?

I don't count it.  IF I was going to try and ascertain my current load, I'd make an educated guess.  IF it looked low...I'd visit the gun show and pick up more.  If I count anything, it's battle packs, boxes and cans.

ETA:  Just as a metric, I've been known to expend 1,500 rounds of 5.56 in a day...and that in no way seriously dented my overall inventory.  I know guys here who have spent more than that as well.

No offense blue_bomber, but as soon as I read your post, I said Oh, shit, he's in for it.
(I think you could have actually moved the decimal point over to the right once, and you still would have gotten shit).

I'm yankin your chain, man.

I don't have time for this. I'm leaving for Mike's Merchandise for some more ammo cans. The North Wall needs another layer.

Seriously, all I have is half a box for my Nambu.

I'm dangeroulsy low.  I don't even have enough to repel the ongoing Mexcian invasion.

AR-15 / .223
==========
- 500 rounds Olympic Steel Core / 62 grain
- 580 rounds Wolf FMJ / 55 grain

AK-47 / 7.62
==========
- 160 rounds Silver Bear FMJ / 123 grain
- 1,140 rounds Wolf FMJ / 122 grain

Mauser / 8mm (7.92)
===============
- 190 rounds / 154 grain
Note: love shooting the M48 - pure joy but end up with one hell of
a sore shoulder after 70-80 rounds

Time to stock up on all .

About 75K last time i checked.  mostly 556, 308, 40sw, 9mm, 12 gauge, 30Carbine, 7.62x54R, and M1 Ball in Enblocs.

I'm low on .45 right now.

I buy ammo whenever i find a good deal. that way I'm never subjected to short term price increases from temporary shortages. Usually spend about 300-500 amonth on ammo, for about the last 9 years.

Aaaaah hi fellow citizen.  I'm from your friendly public serving safety concerned goberment. I'm sorry I didn't catch where you said you live?
