Cocaine is a hell of a drug. That's the only way I can understand how people thought those colors were pleasing and that disco was good. It wasn't that people thought the colors looked nice, it was the only thing available - things weren't inexpensive. |

PlaneJane once posted a pic of herself from back in the 70's. She embodies everything that was AWESOME about that decade. Pic please! Jane? I've begged her repeatedly to repost. She was leaning against a muscle car and my god, she was gorgeous. Yep... If you missed it, you missed out. I found it. Lets just say that there in nothing plane about Jane. More beautiful than I remembered. The red dress is stunning. |

I'm old enough to remember the bicentennial, 1976 - pretty much everyone and everything was "America - Fuck Yea!!!!". I can't think about it too much though, because it can be depressing to tears to think we'll collectively never be that proud of our country again.

74 was a good year. http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/bb435/DamascusKnifemaker/Cars/IMG_2632c.jpg No it was not. By then the muscle care had been castrated by unleaded gas, catalytic converters, the insurance industry. etc, etc. 71 was the last year of real muscle cars. By 74 they were just shadows of their former selves. By 75 they were all gone. |

They shouldn't have been in bikinis but they were. https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRSNQ2MB4orJuGKt8ju1o2FR6ps3d6fErG7eu8of5mzdvwh0G7I1g |

Stupid blanket statements are stupid. http://i449.photobucket.com/albums/qq214/element-94/chevy-chevelle-1-1.jpg I had the same car in high school ... except mine had the flapper in the hood. Back in the very early 80's (80 or 81) my friend next door threw a rod in his car, so he towed it to the crusher. They gave him like $100 bucks for it and he got to watch them crush it. It was a 69 HEMI GTX !!!!! Holy Fuck. |

They caught on in mid-60's 'fashion' because the hippies could buy surplus navy britches for 50 cents a pair. Pea coats & dungaree shirts were popular back then too. All Navy surplus stuff. |

Oh ya, in school, I could count the number of fat kids on 4 fingers !!! What the fuck has this country come to?? Every day at 6pm, my neighborhood was a ghost town, VERY ONE was at home eating dinner with their family.
I would gladly take the ugly clothes and wood paneling if we could get some family values back. Really. |

The only good thing about the 70's was some of the music.
