When I saw this thread a week ago I knew that I was in the worst shape of my life and that it was time to get off my ass and make some changes. I told myself that 100 pushups each week wasn't too much to commit to, and I did.
Today I did 220, with 886 on the year so far. For first set of the year I was able to get 20 reps. Today I started off with 39. (Was going for 40 but halfway up that last rep was all she wrote ) Very happy to be participating. Feels good to make progress for a change. |

Im in...i had left ulnar nerve transposition surgery recently so my arm is still a little weak but I'm in for at least 100-200 a week.

I did 620-630 for the week. My pecs were sore so I cut back.
Still on schedule for 500+/week. Even with my bad back. Losing some Christmas weight helps as well. Push the floor! |

I used to be in great shape until a string of back surgeries the last few years. Amazing how much strength you lose without regular workouts/exercise.
The wife and I started doing some work last week, I'm doing elliptical, knee raises and pushups for now. Increasing time and numbers as I go, but man, do I feel weak starting out. Just starting with 3 x 10 each night (not every day, maybe I'll work on that). 150 for the month so far |
