Hi Everyone,

I don't have any details, but I just got a call that my Grandpa had to be amberlampsed to the hospital.

All I know is that he drove himself to his MD, then they called the ambulance to send him to the hospital.
It seems to be heart related.

Any and all prayers will be appreciated andneeded.

ETA UPDATE:  I honestly have no idea what's going on.  Just talked to my Mom, and the story has changed somewhat.
My Grandpa apparently drove himself home, and called my aunt to take him to the hospital. That's all I know at this time.

BTW, They live in a really small town, so there's no hospital there. The closest "good" hospital is roughly an hour away in Knoxville.
This just adds to the confusion.

Well I hope somebody finds out what is going on and lets you know soon for peace of mind.  Prayers out for your Grandpa!

Thanks LS. They ended up sending him home late last night, and no one has a clue as to what's going on.

What an ordeal. I'm trying to talk them into taking him into one of the huge hospitals in Nashville, but I'm not having any
luck yet. The "5 Star" place he has been going to, I just don't think they have their stuff together. They said it was
his lungs and not his heart, but they didn't have the right machines to test him properly, so they sent him home.

Thanks for all of the prayers, past present and future. This looks like it's going to take a while to get some answers.
I just pray that we can get it figured out before it's too late.

Father,

We thank You that Your servants have a great opportunity through the institution of prayer, which like You has no boundries or set limits as to the great and wonderous works that You are able to perform for the one's who have been miraculously called by and for Your Own glory through Your great and precious Name. Now Father if it be of Your will to interviene concerning brother Kingpin38506, Your son's desire to get some real and accurate answers and medical treatment, concerning Your servant's Grandpa, in which all here love and respect as an elder, then LORD God of all creation, we humbly beseech our King to do this in accordance to Your Word concerning the proper diagnosis and treatment of this precious man in which You love also.

Lord, we know that You are wise and very great. We also recognize that this thing that we ask You to do for Kingpin38506's direct decendant, one of the one's that has had a role in bringing You great joy and satisfaction concerning bringing Kingpin38506 into existance so that he would be a rare example of love and devotion to You, O' great Jehova Rop'e, our God that heals us and delivers us from all of our distresses and infermities, heal him now!

So now Great and Wonderous King above all kings, please grant our request and simply heal Kingpin38506's Grandpa without delay as we release our faith right now in Jesus' Name in which all things are made possible, for Lord, You Are, I AM.

Amen and Amen Forever!

Update on my situation (which seems so trivial coming after the prayer requests of those that are having medical issues): The wedding went great! Hardly anything went as planned, but it was beautiful. Everyone seemed to have a good time and looked well fed. My nerves didn't get bad until the doors were opened and I saw my guy standing up at the end of the aisle.

Our pastor did a great service for us and blessed our marriage. I couldn't have picked anyone better to marry us.

Thank you to all of you who prayed for us.

Edited to fix a spelling error.

Compass, I'm glad everything went so good with your wedding. Don't forget, nothing is trivial to the Man upstairs.

I hate to bring this post down, but I just got a call from one of my friends. His disabled sister was having a minor surgery
today, but there was some complications.  He doesn't really know anything yet, but they've taken her back to the OR, and
are trying to repair her breathing.

I'm not sure what happened, but the docs think that it can be fixed. I told him about the prayer team here on Arfcom
( I still like the name Prayer Team Six lol) and he got really excited. So, any prayers for his sister would be great.

Update on my friend's sister.  They took her back to the OR, and got  her stable. I'm not sure what they did, but
everything seems fine now. If nothing else happens, she should be coming home today!

I need some prayer badly. I am having a terrible crisis in my marriage, and need all the help I can get. I have strayed from the herd, but have found my way back recently, and need the companionship of other christians. If you will pray for my wife and myself, and our situation, it would be greatly appreciated.

Xela,

I feel comfortable in saying that everyone who reads your post here will certainly remember you and your wife in their daily thoughts and prayers.

Feel free to IM me or one of the other prayer team participants at any time to discuss anything that you would like to talk about. I know that it can be difficult to seek the Lord's help especially about marital issues and all that goes along with that when you may not have been as close to Him as you once were and things were possibly going alot better between the two of you.

All the same though, we serve a God that already has the answer to your issues amen?

Now the more challenging part is to map out a course that will put you on the right track to those answers through God's love, compassion and ability through His wisdom for you and toward you, as well as your spouse, even though she may not be looking forward to that kind of program right now.

And please remember that it is highly likely that this is not a punitive action going on in this situation between you and your precious wife concerning God no matter what the circumstances might look like right now.

Yes it is true that breaching spiritual law has been instituted by God for correction but that is not it's only purpose.

Spiritual laws that were set in place before man's time began were also placed here concerning all of us for our well being and protection also.

Think about that one for a while if you will my precious brother in Christ!

There is a sowing and reaping process that continually plays out concerning us all and that's everybody. And know this, the Bible says that the effectual prayers of a righteous person will get the job done, or as the Bible says,''availeth or accomplishes much.''

And also know that since this prayer thread's beginning I have not known of one person or situation that has come to God's attention here concerning help or deliverance for someone who was sincere about being delivered from something or recieving answers about what troubled them not to get that help that they needed to carry on and realizing that God is strong enough and loving enough to do exactly what He says concerning moving us in that right direction.

And that right direction is ahead at all times!

So now we will pray brother!

Thanks,

SAE

Well stated Kingpin38506!

How is Grampa doing today?

Is that situation about adequate medical care for him and for your familly's state of mind concerning him getting what he needs, being worked out yet?

Thanks,

SAE

BTW. I kind of like that,''Prayer Team Six,'' designation also!
Maybe we should put it to a vote.

Thanks for all of the prayers. It's amazing how much smoother my life is going since I've started praying with (and for) you guys.

Lisa, that's my friends sister, is doing ok. She should be coming back home tomorrow. My Grandpa, well, who knows. Nothing
catastrophic at this time, but he's still waiting to see a new doc that we all have hope can find out what's wrong. Of course I want
something done yesterday, but I understand that everything works on God's time, and not mine.

ETA: I'm sure that you know what name I'll vote for!

I apologize that I didn't see your prayer request sooner.  I'm glad that others have been on the ball.  I will be saying prayers for you and your wife and whatever your situation may be.  Sometimes it has been necessary for me to endure a season of trial and hardship in order for me to wake up, put things in their proper perspective, and remember my Maker, my Provider, my LORD and my Savior!

As with Israel, in times of great blessings, abundance and prosperity, it is easy for us to forget where they truly come from, and to deceive ourselves into believing that we have somehow gained everything merely through our own intelligence, sweat, blisters, and efforts.  Trials remind us that it isn't all about us, and they are often there to humble us that we may return to our Father as the prodigals that we often willfully are.

Take another look at that beautiful illustration of God's love in Luke 15:11-32.  Jesus came to save the lost.  You and I are not different in that we have lost our way at various times or stages in life.  Jesus used the parable of the prodigal, the coin and the sheep being lost to reveal the great value that God has placed on those of us who have been lost.  Each of those stories shows the joy when the lost are found or are returned to where they belong.

Jesus didn't come to heal those who were well, but rather to heal those who were ill, to save those who could humble themselves enough to acknowledge that they were lost and in need of a Savior.

Luke 15:31-32  "My son, 'the father said, 'you are always with me, and everything I have is yours.  But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.'

Tough times are crowding in on all of us.  Political and economic problems are suffocating many people in this nation and around the world.  The climate of difficulty is lending itself to amplify and accelerate underlying or seemingly dormant weaknesses or unaddressed problems in our relationships.  Consider this an opportunity to begin afresh with a new resolve and a renewed heart and mind.  With tough times encroaching, and increased difficulties on the horizon, we must focus our efforts more now than ever on what is most important in this life.

It starts on the foundation of a relationship with God, and from there our perspective becomes clearer so that we may pour out greater love and energy toward our marriage which is the bedrock of the family.  We can't let the enemy continue to keep us distracted, which places a wedge between us and our God, and us and our loved ones.  May you be encouraged and strengthened in your spirit, and may the LORD bless you and your wife as you renew your walk with Him, in Jesus name, AMEN!

Well, we've finally got some news on my Grandfather.  Not the flu, not a virus, not something he ate. Guess what it was.......his Heart. Just
like we had all thought it was all along. This mess started at Thanksgiving, and now his doc has decided that he needs surgery asap.

He's going in tomorrow to hopefully have stints put in. If this won't work, they plan to open him up to fix the damage. If you all can,
we'd appreciate any prayers.

I'm glad to hear that they have at least diagnosed the source of your grandfather's medical problems.  May the LORD guide the hands and minds of the physician/surgeons/anesthesia/recovery and nursing staff involved!  Your grandfather is in my prayers Chad.

Thanks, Stock, and everyone else that has been praying.

Just got home from the hospital (two hour drive) and you wouldn't believe the day. To start with, this was at the hospital that had the
shooting yesterday, so I'm sure that had some impact on the doctor's performance.  Short version of the story, is that the
blockages that were supposed to be there, had vanished.

They didn't fix the leak in his heart, because they couldn't get in touch with his doc to see if she wanted them to fix it. If she does, it's
time for another surgery. He's going to see a lung specialist in a couple weeks, because someone in the medical profession thinks that's
what causing it.

Thanks again for all of the prayers, and I'll keep you all informed as we get more info.

Jeff, I'm sorry I didn't see this post sooner.  I've prayed and will continue to pray for your double-whammy health issues.  I read that you've also suffered through a difficult year on top of your maladies.  Though these things are crumby, and though they can seem unfair, sometimes as strange as it seems they are just what we need for a season or seasons, so that we remember who our maker is and how much we need Him.

I pray for healing balm to come your way, and I pray that these trials bring with them a strengthened resolve in you to continue to seek and serve the LORD, and that through your time of testing your faith will not merely be stretched, but increased, and that God will work a miracle in your life that will shine for others to witness!  May God truly bless you!   -Laughingststock

Hi everyone,

I know that a lot of you never venture into GD, but we have a member here that needs our prayers in a big way.

Runsbellows lost his 5 year old infant daughter tonight.  Here's a link to the thread: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=1037201

Edit: Through the tears, I didn't read that correctly. It was his infant daughter. Please pray for him and his family.

My prayers go out for RunsBellows and his family in their time of grief and mourning in the wake of the tragic loss of their dear sweet beloved Charlotte Ruth.  It is one of the most painful journeys in life to lose your precious child.  Tonight my daughter received a scholarship in the memory of a local couple's daughter who was taken in the prime of life.  Words can't penetrate the darkness a parent endures when their child is suddenly taken.

We haven't forgotten you Frank!  Sorry to hear that you are feeling a bit like Abigail . . . . .er . . . .Abbie Normal!  I'll be praying for you, and I'm sure others will be along soon.  At least there is green foliage to look at outside since the last time you posted!  This is random but now that song from the 70's is stuck in my head. . .. ."Hang on! Help is on it's way! I'll be there as fast as I can!"  And I can hear the exact vocals yet I can't think of the band that played it.  Anyways, now maybe that can be your theme song (even if it drives you crazy) because it is catchy and it has that one good line that applies to your post.  Oh, and your avatar has given me a nice chuckle, didn't you have EYE-gore, (Egor) as your avatar a while back?  Thanks for the crack-up!  And don't worry, I'm not forgetting about praying for you!

''I will bless those who bless you, I will curse those who treat you with contempt, and all the peoples of the earth will be blessed by you.''

Genesis 12:3

''I assure you: The one who believes in Me will also do the works that I do. And he will do greater works than these, because I am going to the Father. Whatever you ask in My name, I will do it so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If YOU ASK me ANYTHING in My name, I will do it.''

John 14;12-14

So now Father in the Name and by Your healing Blood which You shed on calvary, and by that Name, which puts everything created under His subjection, I call healing into my brother, YoungFrankenstien's body this instant wavering not.

My Father and King, this will indeed by faith bring forth great glory and high honor for You and You alone, for taking this action for us right now!

Also Sire, at this time I boldly stand in the gap between You and my brother YoungFrankenstien856, concerning him comming to know You as His personal Lord and most precious Savior, Father.

I vouch for him and make a commitment this day, February 1, 2010, to pray always and by the faith that pleases You everyday until  my brother YoungFrankenstien856 confesses with his mouth that You are Lord if he has not already done so!

I envision this success through the intense power of the Holy Spirit of Yaweh.

For Lord, who is it that can stand against this and You!

Deliver us and guide us, Your servants, in all of our calling and labors concerning You!

For it is in the Name of Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth, and through His love for us in which we pray,

Amen and Amen

It is finished*

YoungFrankenstien856,

If you are in right standing with God by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, the One who delivers you out of all of your distresses and infirmities, then in Jesus Name be made whole!

I promise you if you will meet Him wherever you are He will deliver you out of your issues.

It did not happen back in Feburary, and it dosen't sound like that it has happened to this date, but if you can stand in faith, even to the point of death confessing with your mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior of your life and of your circumstances, He will act on your behalf and you will get the healing that you need right now.

Do you believe this brother Frank?

Your brother,

SAE

For who is God besides the LORD?
And who is a rock?
Only our God.
God is my strong refuge; He makes my way perfect.
He makes my feet like the feet of a deer and sets me securely on the heights.

Amen.

Make Your ways known to me, Lord; teach me Your paths.
Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; I wait for You all day long.
Remember LORD, Your compassion and Your faithful love, for they have existed from antiquity.
Do not remember the sins of my youth or my acts of rebellion; in keeping with Your faithful love, remember me because of Your goodness, LORD.
The LORD is good and upright; therefore He shows sinners the way.
He leads the humble in what is right and teaches them His way.
All the LORD's ways show faithful love and truth to those who keep His covenant and decrees.
Because of Your Name, LORD, forgive my sin for it is great.

LORD forget not Your servant concerning the business at hand in Jesus Name,

Noblesse Oblige*

For this is why and how I come.

Father God of all creation, my God, honor me tonight and allow Your slave to gain access into Your throne room with praises unto You and allow us by Your command to come down to You and continue to worship at the footstool of Your Crown, O' Great King of Israel and everything that You in Your unspeakable wisdom have deemed holy and set apart!

Great King and Savior, here I am, by faith, Your son and inheritence with my beloved brother YoungFrankenstien856.

I humbly thank You, Abba Rafe for allowing us an audience with You where You dwell right now through the power of the Holy Spirit that You have graciously allowed us to use not only for our benifit, but for Your own righteous glory, first and foremost.

My Savior and Healer, I humbly make petition and request to You now in regards to my brother YoungFrankenstien856, concerning his debilitated physical state, suffering from such for seventeen years or more from this date.

Lord, I know that You are a Master Craftsman and that You created all of Your creations with the intent for great purpose.

I also humbly recognize that it is by Your supreme command that all who come to You with a clean heart and compassion for the ones that they love will not leave Your presence disappointed or dismayed.

I just don't know any more, the pain is a constant factor any more & the depression comes & goes.
I've started reading a little of John as my Military friends tend to quote him a lot, must be something there if they're quoting him.

YoungFronkenschteeeeeen,

I will continue praying for you brother!  Glad to see the EYE-GOR avatar back!  I pray that your pain will subside and that your depression will lift away and flee.  If you are able to, get out to a park with a lake.  Go feed some ducks or something.  It may sound corny but check out a petting zoo, unless you have world record allergies and asthma, in which case I've just given you thee worst advice ever!

Brother Frank,

Is there any other options available to you at the present or maybe in the future besides the treatment that you are currently receiving at this time?

What about a transplant or some other kind medical options?

Praying for you always,

Your brother SAE

My family could use some lifting up in prayer:

My firm is laying me off due to a lack of work.  I totally didn't see it coming.

It's tough. I'm the sole bread winner for our family. I have a daughter who just turned one two weeks ago and a juvenile diabetic wife.

Any prayers for strength, wisdom, guidance and/or faith would be greatly appreciate.

This is one of those extremely challenging crossroads in the life of a family man who has loved ones depending on him for so much.  My heart goes out to you for this devastating blow.  Remember to turn as much of the weight of this current crisis as you can over to the LORD.

It isn't an easy thing to do when faced with the daily cares of this trying world, but know that others who came before you faced similar dilemmas in which their faith was put to the test, and when they turned to the LORD and refrained from leaning solely on their own efforts, the LORD was kind, merciful, loving and blessed them with the necessary means to overcome their obstacles and to come out from the other side of their battle with victory and a renewed and strengthened faith.

I will be praying for you and your family tgom222.
