When I lived in Indianapolis as a teen,  a neighbor had one of those 3 wheel Messerschmitt cars. Strange looking thing.

My dad had an 82 as the family vehicle when I was a kid. He was driving on the freeway and it somehow started on fire at the carb. A passerby had a fire extinguisher to put it out. Pops somehow drove it home.

I almost ended up with one of these. My Grandfather had started to restore it back in the late 60's and never finished it. He passed in 1993 when I was in New Mexico and my Uncle hauled it to the junk yard.

Had. Fun little HS project. Pontiac 6.6 and 4spd from a T/A and 14" iirc taken out of frame length. Don't ask me why.

I have a Plymouth pickup.  They didn’t make very many of those.

It’s GD’s wet dream, AM radio, crank windows, long bed, regular cab, and of course, a stick shift.

Same thing happened to ours. The fuel filter was screwed into the bottom of the carb body, right above the exhaust manifold. It was very cramped, and so was often cross-threaded on replacement. Ours caught fire on the way home from a shop that did a tune-up - the first time my dad had EVER taken a car to a shop for that.

Does anyone have a Shelby Series 1?  I've only ever seen one of those in my life.  That was around 2000 in a small town in Colorado. I made my mom take my picture with it (I was 15 or 16 at the time).

Love the Torino, a 1970 Torino GT was my first car, I paid $500.00 for it in 1979. I haven't seen one in ages and in the last two days I have seen the same one twice. It looks like a garage find, 100% original in the same white color as yours.

I worked on one in Virginia, mid 2000's. The shop was a group of old retired dealership guys, the Chevy foreman brought all his Corvette customers with him. Guys with really weird stuff, half tracks, Dihatsus, Shelbys, etc.

Said it was hard to drive in traffic, liked to stall when it got over 100* and wouldn't restart hot. I think they told him to stop driving it in traffic in August

I’m working on my late-grandfather’s 1959 F-100. It’s not rare, but I’ve only seen about 5 others in person.

The 3rd generation F-100s from 1957 through 1960 are nicknamed “Fridges” because of their incredibly straight bodies and barely rounded edges.

Each year had a different hood and grille. Dealers could put on whatever rear bumper the customer wanted.

Actually, no.  It was similar, but the Coyote X was VW framed with a 914 engine. The body was based on the McLaren M6GT.  The stunt car was basically a VW dune buggy with a body kit.  The second season Coyote X was built on a DeLorean chassis and was visibly different (and ugly).

The stunt car is at the Hollywood Cars Museum in Las Vegas.

The Manta Mirage was designed and built by Brad and Tim Lovette.  They grew up in Kansas with my dad and used to talk about the sports cars they were going to build some day.  They actually did it.

Was going to post, don't have any pics, but I inherited my dad's 1964 power wagon with one half of a v12 for the powerplant, waiting on some body panel parts to come in so I can start restoring the body, then going to attack the slant 6 and rebuild it with a few small upgrades.
