I'll start. Chernobyl Diaries!!!
I watched that movie this morning on Syfy. Scared the crap out of me. People in the firearms/survival communities always talk about a zombie apocalypse. It even comes complete with zombie dogs and humanoid creatures. If I would have had an AK-74 and about 30 loaded magazines I can assure you I would have made it outta that place. Creepy movie. |
Blair Witch Project when I was 10.
Found out it was bullshit about 2 years later and laughed at myself. |
Brokeback Mountain.
I have to watch everyone in a hat now. I'm kind cute. |
Idiocracy at first I thought it was a comedy, then I slowly realized it is a truthful prediction.
Event Horizon...gets you every, single time due to the fact it was the first movie where all of the sound effects used were psychologically engineered to make you resonate.
not to sound like a wuss but "The Conjuring" and "Sinister" scared the fuck out of me
The Conjuring
Movies don't scare me at all. Never have or had till I watched that. For some reason it got me. |
Jaws. Close second would be a toss up between Exorcist or The Omen.
The Conjuring is an excellent movie. Gives me chills every time I see it.
The original Exorcist. To this day I refuse to watch that movie again
The new evil dead is up there. The first time I saw Event Horizon was pretty intense too.
When I was little I saw Legend of Boggy Creek at a drive in. I was scared of Bigfoot for years. Literally scared that he was outside my window. I still watch it from time to time. Still creeps me out just because it takes me back.

View Quote I'll catch a lot of shit for this, but I still consider Blair Witch to be one of the scariest movies I've ever seen. Never seeing an actual witch, along with great sound effects, really made it work, and the interview subjects came off as really genuine. The end scene with the guy standing in the corner of the basement still creeps me out to this day. No other scary movie has really even come close to freaking me out as badly as Blair Witch. Well, maybe Sleepaway Camp, but that's a whole different kind of scary. |

Scary movies are designed to scare your date so they cling to you and you can grab their boobies.

Tom Sawyer. I saw it when I was four and my mother dropped me off on a Saturday at the nursery school I was attending (which happened to be showing the film) because she thought I would like it. I was about three years younger than anyone else there and didn't know any of them. I was having a good time until the scene where the cavern caved in. Then it was all over.....

The exorcist.... I was a kid, I was alone, and it was late at night.... was kinda worryin about the devil for a while after that

PLUS 1 I'll add The Exorsism or Emily Rose and Insidious. Fire in the Sky as well those are the ones that make me remember where the AR is at night View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

The original Omen when I was 13. I still refuse to watch anything in a similar vein.
