We made this happen.  I'm just one man.  Everyone's efforts are their own and willingness to be part of something greater than themselves is what people should strive for.

Gonna do other stuff this evening cause I’m super sore.

Can’t say I’ve done this many pushups ever, even in my younger days.

This thread is motivating so thanks for making it.

The medieval torture device known as a sled was my first movement tonight.  210' in 3 down and back laps.  2nd movement was 280' pushed and pulled backwards twice.
Last movement was 3 laps pushed for 210' for a total of 700 feet.

Quite welcome!  I never found much motivation for them either in my 20s and 30s.

Almost 45, I find the effort to be exactly what I need for the day, week, month, season.

I hope many of us here exceedingly destroy their "limits" this year and ones following.

I already do three sets of 3 different kinds (20 regular, 10-12 closed hand, 20 wide arms), 2x a week...

Not looking at increasing for now cuz I'm a bit sore from some weight lifting I added to my routine...

We'll see once I get adapted to the new workouts added.

ETA: I recently got some new pull-up bars...need to incorporate those back in too.

I am such a dork...I started working on a dashboard to track my progress...

I made a google sheet that I can update from my phone with a simple interface that I just put in the date and the number of reps...each new line is one set...

Then I created another tab that pulls all the data into a pivot table and outputs to a chart...

I'm still refining as I go...adding metrics and whatnot

Following the sled push-pulls, I ended up on the preacher curls.

25 reps at 45lbs
20 reps at 50lbs
15 reps at 50lbs

I finished the workout with 1 mile of walking and 1 mile of running.

Don't know how I missed this thread in past years. But count me in for 500. I haven't missed a day for running or dumbbells yet. But need to step up my push-up game. I've already committed to a few running guns, so need to get up my game.

I'm in for 500/wk. That's 10x10 each week day. I work from home, so I think it's feasible.

The real test will be if I can still do those sets on upper body day.

I hired a personal trainer about 2 months ago and am in the gym 3 days a week. It's the first real attempt I have made in fitness in like 15 years.

I also started keto about 4 months ago, but have only been strict with it for about the last 3 months. Still, I'm down from 240 to 197 in that period. That puts me at about 23% body fat.

I also quit drinking bc it was fucking up my life and marriage and causing some lurking depression and anxiety to snowball.

Here's to a new life in 2024, gents!

Thats the kind of shit I need to do more of. I'll stop  and do a set of pushups occasionally on a trail run, but nothing a while now. Haven't done much weighted hiking lately either.

Most I've done in a week ever, I guess I just never tried hard enough. Might be it for the week for me.

Gonna focus on more reps per set next week. I'd love to be able to pump out 50 at a time.

Also, for those interested, we've have a thread like this in the MTB/Cycling forum going, if anyone wants to post their ride (or ski) stats/pics.

Post your ride/ski stats

I'm in on this. I've had multiple back surgeries so I'm committing to only 50 a day. I may bump this up after some days/weeks, but I think it's at least attainable for me.

Incrementalism!

Try one set of 26 and then one set of 25.  Next day - try for two sets of 25.

Sometimes you feel.good and make big jumps and sometimes it's tough to try and maintain.
