Watched two tonight with definite possibilities, 7th Prince could be good, not quite sure yet.
Re:Monster looks to be a good one, definitely different and interesting. My WTF for this season (so far) is one called Shuumatsu Train Doko e Iku? (Train to the end of the world), A cataclysmic event similar to a Hadron Collider mishap changed adults into animals, and once the young turn 21 or so they turn into animals as well. It’s a story of young girls on a trip trying to reverse the process. |

So I watched the pilot episode of the new Spice and Wolf.
I'm left with a overwhelming feeling of "Why?" Why are they just rehashing the same story from the old series season 1 we already saw? I don't get it. The original series ended on a huge cliff hanger, where Holo and Lawrence's relationship was in crisis. Why not pick up there? It's not like this new series has significantly better animation/story. I don't get it. ETA: Just watched the old series pilot episode. Better fan service, Holo is hotter. Why are they remaking this? |

Even since the villainess sub-genre of isekai popped up, I’ve been wanting a villainess anime where the MC is actually a villainess. Not necessarily Ainz Ooal Gown in the form of a cute girl, but something at least in the ballpark.
After at least half a dozen villainess anime where the MC wasn’t even close to being a villainess, I gave up. And then someone here claimed Villainess Level 99 was a game changer. An anime where the villainess MC was actually at least somewhat evil. Well, I watched it and not only was the MC NOT even in close to being a villainess, but she was less of a villainess than most villainess MCs. She had a good heart and even refused to kill anyone (even if they REALLY deserved it). Whoever it was that posted that claim…  Now, having said that, it turned out to be a watchable anime. Definitely better than the other Villainess anime I’ve seen. Still, I want a “Ainz Ooal Gown in the form of a cute girl” villainess.  |

Today marked 45 years since Gundam premiered.
 Attached FileIn my interaction with this franchise I would only change one thing. When I watched Oreimo and realized Saori's alias was an otaku joke that was either extremely cringe or hilarious and based, I of course consulted Bing to find out what Saori Vageena means. Obviously I came across a page about Char (might have been on fandom, don't remember). "Oh, that joke is probably hilarious and based cause this dude sounds really interesting, I'll add it to the list" Instead of just adding it to the list, I should have made it next on the list. Dive straight in to 0079. Full send. Last episode of Oreimo should have been followed by the first episode of Gundam which aired on this day in '79. |

Just got done with Slime.
Strong start, picked up where last season left off, no BS, no spending half the episode rehashing, no filler. I really have high hopes for it judging by episode 1. |

Looks like they’re doing another sequel series to Code Geass.
“Roze of the Recapture” part 1 coming out mid-May.  "Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture" Teaser Trailer. New anime Film starts May 2024. |
