My saiga Pistol grip conversion done! I have a new Russian mistress, and she is a beauty. She also shoots sub 2 MOA with Barnaul ammo and iron sights!
I got finally got it done, despite the right arm in a sling. Saiga .223 16" barrel: KVAR US trigger KVAR US Warsaw Stock KVAR US AK 47 pistol grip Tapco Saiga specific Galil US hand guard US M16A1 flash hider US Surefire and ProMag Saiga specific magazines (3 US parts each) Re-used Saiga hammer, Saiga disconnector and spring, Saiga trigger guard, Saiga hammer/trigger pin retention spring (only used one of the aluminum cross spacers screws? and plug back holes, and trimmed down bolt hold open device (WHAT A PAIN IN THE BUTT! Thank goodness for who ever came up with the dental floss idea!). Hardest part: Drilling the front trigger guard weld! Must be melted down German tank steel, as someone already suggested! It is soooooo sweeeeeeet! I still need to get a shepherd's crook pin retainer to loose the aluminum cross screw and Saiga factor pin retention spring. :D |

You can use 7/32" E-Clips to hold the hammer and trigger pins in place. That's what I used. I could even get 3/16" clips on some of my rifles pins. A heck of a lot easier to install than the Sheppard's hook spring. |

My MOA is about the size of a fighter pilot's ego.
I woke up this morning and had myself a beer, the future's uncertian and the end is always near. |
