I’ll order one straight away. Then I’ll get the pro lifter and it will be perfect. |

Looks like I'll be buying one of those GG&G covers and clamps also because I hate the plastic clamp. I would not have a problem paying a hundred dollars more for the gun if it had come with metal parts up front and an adjustable rear sight. I know Beretta was trying to hit a budget price point but the A300 Patrol is quite a bit cheaper than similar options and adding another $1-200 to the price for less plastic parts wouldn't scare too many people off.

you guys think the Beretta 1301 Optic Rail Mount For The RMR Scope will also fit the A300 patrol ?
very similar to the Aridus industries mount |

double tap

The 1301 rear sight also matches up if anyone wants to replace the non adjustable sight the A300 comes with.

Aridus and GG&G optic mounts look the same to me. any preference ?

View Quote There are a few options. You can just take the clamp off; the magazine cover doesn't spin. You can also convert the gun to a 5 shot magazine tube and add a Nordic extension. The plastic cover is ugly but isn't worse performing than the GGG cover. All of the clamps on the market slide forward, Nordic, GGG, and OEM. Barrel clamps on shotguns are garbage in general. |

I wish there was a pistol grip stock option for the A300. I'd probably give on the 1301 for it

Anyone get the GGG mag tube cover in yet to verify a fit on the A300?

If anyone is interested Gun Mag Warehouse has a Bulldog 40” soft gun case that fits the A300 like a glove. I just got mine today. |

perfect fit. Like they were made for each other :)
drop of blue loctite on the clamp screws and that's about it. |

very nice setup. I need to find a light for it too. Something small. Don't want that shotgun to be a pig.

View Quote For being basically like the “1301 lite”, it doesn’t feel like much of a compromise. Someone earlier in the thread was using an inforce wml, which would be pretty light weight. I like the 640df pro because of the mount and the 18650 rechargeables. |

SureFire M340DFT pro with mlok mount might be a good choice for it.

Took my a300 out yesterday. Shot about 25 sporting clay rounds through it and about 10 rounds of buckshot.
Didn’t want to cycle correctly. Probably made it through about 3 shots at most with no jams. Didn’t want to eject the fired shell. I took apart when I got the shotgun and fully cleaned. Anyone know what my issue might be? Wondered if I just need to put another 50-75 rounds through it to get it to cycle. The buckshot was critical defense. The target loads were Remington at 1185 fps I believe. |

Failing to eject. The shell gets hung and doesn’t eject. I don’t have any dummy rounds but with live rounds and manually cycling bolt it seems to function fine. |

did you clean the shotgun before firing for the first time ? Beretta recommends it.
check the gas system as well. How to clean the Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol Shotgun |

It actually happens in live fire.

Anyone running a Holosun 407k on their A300 or 1301?

Just a FYI tip. I wanted an economical adjustable rear sight for my A300 and bought a 1301 rear sight, it fit no problems but I have the sight bottomed out and the gun still shoots buckshot about 3-5" high at 20yds and slugs are about 4-5"inches high at 50yds.
The factory sight was about right on with buckshot and elevation was perfect with slugs but the slugs shot to the right 5". I'm starting to think maybe I should just put a micro RDS on it and be done. ETA. How are you guys getting all these good patterns with buckshot? I bought some 9 pellet Federal flight control and I'm getting larger groups then what everyone else is posting and they aren't consistent, sometime they are tight and sometimes not. I remember now why I've never been able to keep a tactical shotgun, never been happy with the accuracy. The positive though is the gun has been flawless with everything I've shot through it. |

Didn’t want to eject the fired shell. Without seeing the gun in action it's difficult to say definitively, but if you fire a shell that doesn't have enough oomph to run the action what you often see is the bolt not fully going to the rear to clear the spent shell and running forward again with the spent shell still held by the extractor. If you manually cycle the bolt and the spent shell ejects cleanly and the next shell feeds cleanly, then it's most likely an ammo issue. I took apart when I got the shotgun and fully cleaned. Anyone know what my issue might be? Wondered if I just need to put another 50-75 rounds through it to get it to cycle. The buckshot was critical defense.
