It's a bit muzzle heavy. Doesn't cycle at all either. Sure looks cool though. |

BUMP for more pics! (and to keep the thread from dying like all the other good pic threads...)

It isn't a pistol, but it is a pistol caliber -- 44 Mag Ruger 77/44 Silent Destroyer by Tom Denall. Sound is about the same or less than a suppressed .22 lr pistol, but it sends a 300 grain bullet downrange at 1000 fps. http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b25/Racer351/SDSilentDestroyer.jpg

Dangitall! I had kind of gotten rid of the suppressor bug until I looked at a picture post in the Indiana hometown forum just the other day, and now this! Now it's back! I've got a few questions:
1. For a Buckmark .22, how do you guys find someone for the machining, and what is an "average" cost to have it done? I've got a machinist friend, can he do it? 2. Can suppressors be handed down to next of kin? What if you want to sell it? 3. Can the suppressor be used on different pistols, or does it have to be matched to a certain serial number? Sorry if these are noobie-type questions, but I'm really going to look into one now. Thanks! |

I sent mine up to Gemtech and they charged me somewhere around 100-130$. It was worth it as an 'insurance' policy for me, because if I ever have baffle strikes with something they have threaded up for me, it's warrentied for life. Personally, I would send the barrel to a reputable class 3 dealer to be threaded so you can be ensured that it is concentric to the bore. It's not absolutely critical with a .22lr, but it is an investment in saving time in the long run.. Doc |

I bought a Tactical Solutions barrel for the Buckmark. Its cost was $190 and no waiting for the job to be done. Its incredibly accurate too.
|
|
That's a GREAT suppressor, but can you take it apart to clean it?
|
That will be my route as well. Gonna be fun! txl |

I like the pics.
I want one! |

No waiting except on the ATF, of course. :) I sent my barrel to Gemtech while I was waiting the (12 FUCKING MONTHS!) for my F4 to clear on my vortex-2... so when the can FINALLY got here, I was ready to roll "no waiting" :) Doc |

Did any of you guys incorporate to purchase the silencer? I have an SPR and a HK 45 Tactical that I would like to get a silencer for each, and am just starting to take the steps to do so.

I have a walther ppk, the 7.65mm one. how and what steps are involved in getting a surpressor like the ones you guys have
|
|
|
Read the NFA and SBR FAQs tacked to the top of this forum -- the same laws apply to suppressors. BTW, while suppressed 7.65 (32 ACP) handguns are always turning up in the movies, they are not the best of suppressor hosts. I've never seen one, and AFAIK no suppressor manufacturer makes one in that caliber. Of course, you can always have a one-off suppressor made ... but I wouldn't be very optimistic about the results. In general, suppressor manufacturers already cover all of the successful applications. |

No I am not, and you are correct. MO is a no-can state. I bought my cans before I moved to Missouri. They live out of state and only get played with once or twice a year. |

•In God we trust. Everyone else, keep your hands where I can see them.
•Do not attend a gunfight with a handgun, the caliber of which does not start with a "4." |

Man, that's a good photoshop job! |

Class 3 shooters blow thier load faster and with just one pull on the trigger

I wasn't making fun of it; instead, it was intended as a gentle jibe. I don't care how well it works or where it may have done its duty, to my eye that is one goofy-looking rig. But then, so are most ATAS rigs. And stop calling me hineline! |

wow. what does that sound like? |

yikes.

Surprisingly quiet. It uses wipes. Once the wipes wear out the can is still quiet enough to shoot without hearing protection. I have a couple of these inbound. I will test throughly and post my findings. It's a tough job but someone has to do it. |

What's with all of the suppressed .22's? Is it civilian legal now, and I just missed it? If it is, where can I get mine, or what kind of process is it to get one?
|
|
|
It's always been civilian legal....just find a local C3, file the proper paperwork (form 4,similiar to whats in the tacked SBR FAQ), then wait...wait...wait...and you will eventally get one. |

ARin,
Where did you get that holster??? |
|
|
the holster is a phoenix holster from Advanced Armament Corp. http://www.advanced-armament.com/products/holcase.asp it is made for an integral Mkii, but fits a p22/can combo perfectly. |
