What is the proper shoe for summer for jeans and a polo? Khaki shorts and polo?

Depends on the environment.

Jeans - mostly thorogood moc toe
Jeans - rarely hey dudes
Shorts - mostly sneakers
Shorts - hey dudes
Shorts - not at work Cobian flip flops

From what others wear, crocs go with anything.

White retro or minimalist sneakers or brown for jeans.

I hate wearing sandals or flip flops.

I have these and get compliments all the time.
