Last thing I printed with tree support the z-distance for support was 0.1mm. It's stuck on there like glue and I am filing and sanding my way to oblivion.
If I increase this to 0.2mm, will it mess up the supported areas of the print? What's the limit? |

Every printer is different. I usually use 0.2. I always do a pretty wide grid though, and use a straight razor blade to cut the layer line of the support.
Usually it's pretty clean that way. |

Tree supports are tricky. They can almost fall off with no issues or seem like they are cemented on the model. I used a lifting tool I picked up from MicroCenter. It looks like a small spatula. Easy to pry tree supports off.
