I play either Chrome Soft or Maxfli Tours unless it's 40's then it's a SuperSoft.

Last year I switched to Srixon Z Star divide and really liked them. Before that I was using Srixon soft feel but my swing speed started getting a little too fast for them.

Yellow sucks.
White or bust. I still rip TM TP5's because they're the best for me. |

I too enjoy swinging a club and flinging money into trees and water features!
I wish I had time to practice enough to know the difference between the feel of them all. |

AVX in white for 17/18 holes at my home course. Yellow AVX on driveable par 4 18th because it runs parallel to the driving range and it's not OB.

I've been using AVXs mainly because they make an RCT version I use at home on my sim.

Pro v 1, Srixon Z, TP5X, or Bridgestone e6. Not good enough to tell the difference on the course.
Switching between the pro v and the TM on our trackman 4 sim league this winter produced no statistical difference. |

My Wal Mart just did a mild remodel of their sporting goods department and in advance of the re set they discounted some golf balls that I guess were not going to be included in the new set. I picked up Titleist Velocity balls for $9.50 a box, just check the golf department next time your in a Wal Mart.

I play white TP5/pix in the warmer months, white splater/orange supersofts in the colder months.
I lose yellow balls too easily. |

Its nice that you can get your kids involved. I have tried but no luck. All they care about is video games |

I play what’s on sale. I love some Titleist X-outs from Walmart online. Callaway soft in the variety colors is fun if the course is highly manicured.

The Maxfli Tour and Tour X are great for me, and, as a bonus come in yellow.

I'm still just a hack, so I usually pick up Calaway Supersofts from one of the online used golf ball stores.

A customer gave me a sleeve of Titleist Pro V1 Left Dash and I used them yesterday.
I must say that ball checked all the boxes for me and I may be switching from the AVX I’ve been playing. Definitely longer off the driver and irons, enough spin for my game around the green and noticeably firmer off the putter. I like it. |

Now I'm not a poors but I play about 180 rounds of golf a year. Figure that means 180 balls. 15 dozen at $55 (not including tax) is $825 to play Pro V1s for me. I switched to Vice Pro balls because I can't tell much of a difference in performance and last year when I bought them if you bought 5 dozen at a time they were about $28 a dozen. $420. So I save $405 playing a ball I can't tell is different. Sadly Vice has been successful and prices are going up. Now they are at $33 a dozen. Still a better rate and I will be looking out for the next start up with a quality ball for less. Actually doing my math a bit off. Probably use more like 90 balls a year so only saving $200 a year. Oh well I still got 5 dozen Vice Pros in the garage. Might make it through the summer. |
