I was watching Taxi Driver tonight. The people are all dressed like clowns. White people with afros. Then I remembered Norcal's thread about home decor of the 70's.
I know every decade has its weird fashions but there's something especially ugly about the 70's. |
|
Everything was yellow, brown and a horrible shade of green.
Fucked up decade.
|
|
I noticed that as well. Everything seems to look dirty to me.
I'm glad I missed the 70's. |

Porn stashes(for clarity stashes on men) and shag carpet for the wimmenz.
It was fantastic man, what's wrong with you? |

The fact that a lot o chicks went bra less made up for it!! oh man, halter tops!!! |

It wasn't so ugly when one could buy a house with no down on 7 bucks per hour........

Cocaine is a hell of a drug. That's the only way I can understand how people thought those colors were pleasing and that disco was good.

I was born in November 1979. I'm kinda glad I missed that decade for the most part.

There were a lot less fat people. True but everybody smoked. |

It might have been bushy but it was free.
The 70's was the last decade of clean pussy. |
|
PlaneJane once posted a pic of herself from back in the 70's.
She embodies everything that was AWESOME about that decade. |

GTFO.
The first 2 years of the 70's produced some beautiful muscle cars. After that, well, nevermind. |
|
The 70's fashions were the result of the corporations chasing the "mod" 1960s.
I liked the music of the 1960s but not the fashions until ... fack, not even today - if you call fashion half the boys wearing skinny jeans and the other half sagging showing their asses. |

Quoted: I dunno. I kinda like my Dhobi (1970's) overcoat. In america it seems like the suits had collars wide enough to set sail, and equally wide neckties. |

Born in the late 50's
was not yet in my teens in the 60's Yes it was a fashon disaster decade. Quickly discarded most of likes in the 70's including music for the 80's. The 70's sucked. |

You should see my family photos.
For church my parents dressed me and my brother like Herb Tarlek.

I'm from the 1970s and I am fucking beautiful. +1 Was born then, but was only 6 when it ended. Not responsible for what my parents dressed me in. Related - watched Jaws lately. Scariest part was the shit they were wearing. WTF was up with those ties? |
|
Yeah, but everybody and everything was equally cheesey.
I remember the big-assed collars and the platform shoes my Mom had me wearing back then. Always had pretty short hair, though; with a LEO for a Dad, there weren't no "hippies" in OUR family. I remember my older sisters ironing their hair. The only cool thing were all the nice wheelguns; S&W FTMFW! |

If you don't miss the 70's you weren't there. The 70's were the best times in this country. The music and muscle cars were at their peak. The women were natural and beautiful. I was never with a woman that had a bush like some of these in the porn pictures though.Yuck! Not all women are hairy like a man. We carried guns and knives to school. Our school had a shooting team and they carried their rifles on the bus. No one ever got shot at school. If there was a fight. The guys would give their knives to their buddies to hold until the fight was over.
There was much more freedom in those days. |
|
We had cool Star Wars toys. That was pretty much all I gave a shit about in the 70s.
