I'm sorry, but Richland High School in Washington has the most un-PC mascot imaginable: the atomic bomb. They've got a mushroom cloud on their helmets.
http://www.bomberfootball.org/ The Hanford site made the plutonium for atomic bombs. The local high school adopted the mushroom cloud for their athletic teams. The high school administration has attempted to retcon the name into a reference to a B-17, but it's BS. They named their sports team after The Big One. |

nobody believes me when I tell them what my high school mascot was...
Our mascot was a confederate soldier on his horse with saber and confederate flag. We were the rebels and I saved my old high school ring with the mascot right on it. We had a guy dressed up in confederate uniform with the saber, flag, etc at every football game. He would run down the sideline with flag raised at every touchdown. Imagine a high school doing that these days! |
