Darn!!
You could almost hold that thing backwards if you’re not careful!! |
Not even close.
The ugliest thing Ive seen is that thing made specifically for those mini-shotgun shells. |
its one thing to be ugly and its another if it functions.
im sure both of those perform very well. blake customs have a good reputation for what they build. was curious about the m1a myself. but i think i would pass up the 3500 price tag |
A Techno arms Mag7-m1 ? |
Damn, that's even uglier than the Steyr Aug (the rifle and the breakdancing guy ) and that new Berretta thumbhole thingy.
those are some damn ugly "carbines"... |
The French MAS 36 www.surplusrifle.com/mas36/index.asp for pics and read the comment on usage.
Considering it came out the same time as the Garand, it has to rank as one of the ugliest obsolete mass produced guns ever. |
That Bushmaster bullpup is one ugly sonofabitch.
I wouldn't want to be caught shooting that thing. |
I admit, the photo of this pistol made me wince. I wonder if you could get "my" rifle and "your" pistol as a set w/matching SNs? |
Which is another way of saying "Hey, be quiet! Rosie O'Donnell may very well give great head!" |
Your choices don't look that ugly to me but I grew up on spaceguns. The ugly guns to me are the cheap ones like the Hi-Points and the Beretta WWII .380's.
Anybody seen a Nambu? You're really looking at it after you press the sear on the side and it discharges...
A Webley Fosberry automatic revolver. It looks like some kid made it in the basement when his dad went to lunch.
The ultrcheap 9mm rifle the Columbine murderers used. I don't know or care who makes it. It's a 10 on the ugly scale.
Another vote the the Type 94. Even if the machine work & finish was flawless it's still a fugly, awkward POS. The WA2000 is kinda space-gunnish but not really 'ugly'. The Webley Fosbury has quirky styling & is too smart by half mechanically but ugly? But I have fvcked taste anyways, a C96 Mauser or M1895 Nagant really make me drool. Even the Bergman-Bayard that Hannah posted is even ok in my book. Polymer "tactical" pistols (other than Glock) on the other hand |
I second the Type 94..
That POS is ugly, and unsafe to boot.. :P |
I've got news for you. That Walther is one of the most accurate sniper rifles in the world. |
the uglest non factory gun i ever saw was the chromed bubbafied out m1 garand
I dont know about the liberator. It has a kind of simplistic elegance to it.
You are all, of course, wrong...
I own the ugliest gun (or at least the ugliest handgun) ever made - and I don't believe very many of them were made. It is a stainless steel "auto-revolver" hybrid (DAO, break open action, enclosed cylinder, no hammer) that fires (depending upon which of the two cylinders you drop into the awkward, flip-open mechanism) either 3 rounds of .380ACP or 5 rounds of .22LR (it is as useless as it is ugly). I only bought it because it was a very unique design (little comfort there) and I didn't think they would be made for long (I believe I was right about that). If I get a chance tonight when I get home, I'll shoot a digital photo of it and post it here tomorrow. Until then, just take my word for it... it is UGLY!!! |
I wince every time I see a Sten. I find it so ugly I dont think I could ever own one.
Though the Japanese Type 94 posted by Steyr gives the Sten a run for its money. |
Dude you should have your "gun nut" license revoked. The Liberator is awesome. If you understand why, how and who it was made for, not to mention how scarce they are today, you would appreciate it properly. |
Sorry, friend. The issue at hand is purely one of appearance. [Thus the Walther/O'Donnell comment above.] My son's whippet gun is probably the home defense weapon I'd most prefer, but it is one ugly, ugly bitch. Your comment is the firearms equivalent of "But she has a great personality and she's really smart," or as a friend of mine used to say, "Nice hands!" |
They aren't half as ugly as a Glock. |
Don't be declaring any winners until I can post my pictures of the pistol I mentioned above... it is truly heinous! I dug it out this morning before I left for work & shot a few digital pictures of it. As soon as I can access the photo server (is everybody else having problems with it today?), I'll post them here. My description above (from memory) was accurate, if not complete. The manufacturer was "P.P.I." (???) & the model name was "Pocket Pal" - it has two separate barrels/firing pins & the different cylinders (.380 & .22) index on the appropriate barrel (top or bottom). |
I agree. The liberator is a beautiful piece. |
Steyr - Trust me, I FULLY understand and appreciate the simplicity, the minimal cost, and the original purpose of the Liberator. And furthermore, God bless the GM headlamp division. We were talking ugly, not form follows function. Edited to add: HardShell - I actually think that gun is pretty cool just because it's so unusual. |
Ugly guns that are fairly common. SKS's are damn ugly. Some might admit that the AR15/M16 platform makes for fugly gun too.
I was wondering when someone would post a picture of this thing!
I thought I'd find a pic of the liberator, but hey, it was home-made by the french. It wasn't meant to be pretty, just to shoot a germain and then they'd take their rifle. It was harder to reload them than it was to build them. But I would say that they were ugly guns.
I saw it walking around a gunshow in Dayton Ohio last weekend. It was(no pics, sorry, gunshow) an AMD65"rifle".This nimrod took(I am guessing here)one of those"bend your own Ak receiver flats"bent it in a vise, with a hammer?Installed the trunions by bending over old nails, and then welding the nails.and had the whole thing painted white, with the Too short to be title I bbl.Installed,w/threads & all.No serial numbers, short bbl.A real frankenstein fellony in the making. To say nothing of would it shoot?my guess?Well.......it is an AK.
