So the toilet was somehow plumbed to the hot water line? And then they put the kid in the toilet? Whole lot of WTF.

I have the toilets on a dedicated line that has a mixer. I keep the toilet water at about 80 degrees. Reasons are to prevent toilet sweating, and the cheap bidet attachments give warm water

When I saw the thread title, my first thought was bidet heater gone haywire, but reading the article sounds like the hot water pipe was plumbed in instead of cold.
For a damned year and no one thought it should be rectified?

Even in the winter the cold water in my bidet doesn't bother me at all.

Kingstree wasn’t always populated by such scum. I was a annual visiter to see my cousins, on my wY up to see other northern cousins.
Early 80’s to mid 90’s kingstree was a small fine town to rOse a family in. Sad to hear it has fallen like everything else. |

If utilities were included in rent this arrangement probably acted as a free radiant bathroom heater, depending on how big the toilet tank was and how often they flushed. Washing the baby in the toilet is press secretary grade clever. |
