LOL, not much to criticize about that!
Copper did GOOD!!!!

The thug was thinking about resisting. It was the safest option the cop had in this situation, both for the cop, AND the thug.

He did good!

So where is a blow to the throat listed on the use of force continuum?  Deadly force........

I say this because LEOs may be afraid to use their Taser with a cloudy department policy.

/inquiring minds.
//Taser stockholder.

Hmmm, he had red hair too. A damn conspiracy I tell ya!

Simple, effective takedown. Perfect scenario to use it. Where the head goes, the body will follow.

Kudos for the cop doing that takedown instead of demonstrating his negotiating skills for national tv.

Who could argue with that? Guy certainly had it comming.

ETA I only criticize those who defend blatantly bad cops. They are enablers IMHO

I think that i may use that move at the firehall tomorrow when someone decides to bitch about how much dinner costs to cook.

Or better yet:

I freakin' love this video. Good for the officer for ending that quickly.

That being said, with my dept's ghey ass policy that little move would cost him his job.

On our use of force continuum that was deadly force.

I know, I work for idiots.

that should be a training video in police academies.

remember the thread about they guy who got shot 22 times?

lets see here:

1 the OIC took immediate control over the situation. he was forceful and authoritarian.

2 when his 3 command in 30 seconds wasn't obeyed he took immediate action. no draw down. no waiting for a dog to show up he acted NOW. he didn't wait till it got out of hand and most importantly he didn't let the other guy think for too long.

Take down is only one point.

Give this guy three points for this one.

I wanted the five-pointer, but it didn't qualify for grand-amplitude.
