thanks for the links Big-FEDhIts a RRA so it's button-rifled. It's a sub MOA bbl now and I've been very please with the accuracy but after reading the threads, I'm a little apprehensive about even having it turned down under the h/g because of the stress factors but I would like to have it a little more carry friendly while walking around the "back 40" with it.
How much can it be turned down with minimal risk of the accuracy being influenced ?? |

I'm a big fan of "if it ain't broke...". I, also have an RRA Elite CAR-4 and am being very cautious about what add ons/changes I am making. IMHO, any weight you save by fluting will be negated with all the dodads that folks tend to hang on afterwards.
I just posted the results of my first full day at the range. It was windy and I was not there for a "one hole" contest. I didn't waste a lot of time with fine tuning my sight picture since my eyes don't have that feature much, anymore.  ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=16&t=262248 But, I had fun!

Seems like buying the barrel you want and selling your old one is the way to go.
I just got my barrel for my next project from the E.E. 16" Colt 6920 bbl under 200.00 new.
