How are they now as far as reliable extraction? Do the chambers look good on them? I need a new 10 1/2 barrel and was wondering if I needed to pay more for a different brand and if I do who?

I have had no issues with the current ones vs my older ones.
Some might have better looking feed ramps than others, but they have always been reliable.
I’ve built two 10.3’s using current barrels that are flawless.

I have never had and issue with Colt barrels. They are not exactly cheap but they have always worked for me.

Thanks for the replies. Just wondering about the newer ones since the company sell before I make a purchase.

I have new Colt barrels that were bought during the CZ era. One is a 6933 and the other is an M4A1 SOCOM. Both are great.

I thought Rosco was making Colt barrels. Is this not the case?

Almost every new Colt/CZ that I've fingered has had a Rosco barrel.
ETA: In before the "OMG! Colt subs components and their quality has gone down the shitter!!"
The internet is too much.

I’ve seen barrels marked R, G and W over the years.
Yet it’s not clear what “making” means… providing barrel blanks? Machined barrels that need to be chromed & parkerized? Finished barrels?

Everything Geissele for me now.
11.5" and 16" have all been cheaper and display far more consistant accuracy across a wide range of ammo.
CHF as well. Not sure about Colt but last I knew they were CL button rifled? Not that most of us would see a difference, but hey more
for your $$.

Colt's are button broached per TDP spec.
