Jonblack,
Yes, I used a standard round handguard retainer up against the gas block. The moe handguard has grooves to fit that as well. Fits quite snugly as well. |

Stickman, how do you like that skinny pistol grip?
I have been trying to find a grip that is more vertical, and that Magpul K thing is the ony one I've found. I was concerned that it might feel too narrow. Thanks. |

I was gonna build me a 7.62X39 AR but I think I want a 300 Blk instead. So just to confirm what I think I already know, all I need is a new barrel right? I can use a 5.56 bolt, mag and receivers. How about Adams arms Piston kit. It should work right?

I don't know about the AA piston kit, I would think it should work. But yes, everything is the same but the barrel.

The only piston one I know of is PWS, and even LWRC was commented a DI gun is better in this caliber. |

I tried running an AA Piston kit on my 16" barrel w/ carbine gas system, couldn't get it to cycle with anything but supers. Subs were a no-go regardless of whether my suppressor was installed or not. Opened up the gas port to .125" and there still wasn't enough oomph to cycle correctly. YMMV |
