For a good while the E2s came with Magpul Enhanced followers due to sourcing issues with the blue follower stock. |

Are the ones with blue followers considered the best ones of the SureFeed mags?

Blue followers, wasn’t a sourcing issue, rather cost. Magpul followers were significantly cheaper.

View Quote Direct response from Okay: Supplier for the blue followers is having issues sourcing the polymer. Rather than revalidate/change specs on the followers it was decided to fall back on the tried and true Magpul Enhanced followers w/milspec spring as used in the Surefeed legacy mags. Response was the same for several here that inquired. Surely we didn't all make contact with the same idiot with the wrong info. |

Sliver of truth and not the wrong info, rather the story that was generated. Fact is, cost was a deciding factor. Magpul followers were a fraction of the cost, not to mention the cost of the spring which was different then the others. From a supply chain perspective, it allowed them to use common parts amongst magazines (Brownells, Okay Classic, Colt(same spring used w the Magpul follower). |

Original surefeed have a good reputation, the E2 can be problematic.

View Quote Feed lips and followers were a clone of the EPM - coincidence that Okay started making the E2 after they developed the EPM for production. Personally, they shouod’ve just added the dimples to their classic mags. The EPM was developed for the M855A1, not that it won’t work with other rounds. |

Can you still get these?

A couple weeks ago I looked at those, added a couple of 1 kind to the cart, checked on S&H before I went to add more & it was going to be almost $40 just for the S&H up to that point. I decided they could keep them. |

Lastly, the cost/benefit ratio is not worth the additional cost (4 Aluminum USGI or Pmags for the cost of one HK mag). View Quote HK steel mags are also well known to have early spring failure. |
