I can't say as I would, but if you ever see green furniture for a decent price, please let me know.....

It wil be available soon from Ironwood Designs. |

For me when I think Nam era M-16 . I picture an A-1 with triangle hand
guards twenty round mags and a 3 prong flash hider . The wood isn't a bad look , it's just kinda odd to me , but then again it might not be so bad if I could get a wooden Glock to go along with it |
Figures, Matt is the man. |

Any chance in Heck of a CAR set?
Wooden Collapsible would be sweet! Those look great man! |
When he tells me, I'll let you know. |
not that it really matters because they look great , how much do they ad in weight ?
you frogot the byonet grips. |
Matt from Ironwood here, Hang tight guys, wer'e getting ready to start producing. Just got the pistol grip completed yesterday, getting materials in this coming week. I will update via Capt. pooby. Thanks, Matt Ironwood Designs |
I am sooooooo waiting for this.
Turning some handles for the M9 bayonet wouldn't be all that difficult..... |
Hi, Matt. I'll post the pics of the handgrip when I get home tonite. |
That is an uber cool idea! I could go for that! |
Let me know if this goes through. I'll give it a shot, though the handguards always seem to be the problem.
Man how much do you think that thing'll weigh? I wonder if a CMP style free float with the wood handguards would work and maybe relieve some pressure from the heavy handguards? Maybe not, just thinking out loud |
I have a set of the Springfield Armory wood and its really not heavy at all. Seriously Aimless, this stuff is only a few ounces heavier that than A1 furniture. I'm gonna be real busy tomorrow, but if you remind me I'll get the stuff weighed next week. |
Matt from Ironwood here,
If someone has a set of the Bayonet grips that I could borrow for a couple of weeks, I could probably produce some after the inital AR run is completed. Regarding weight, Pooby is correct, they might weigh a few ounces more than the Plastic set. Weight shouldn't be a concern. Thanks, Matt IWD |
What are these? |
Da- Bunny mentioned that matching wood handles for the M9 bayonet would be nice.
Matt IWD |
I can let you borrow a complete bayonet for your measurements. Please email me with your shipping information. John |
Oh just fucking great! Now I'll have to buy an $80 bayonet to put them on....unless you make a set for the M7 bayo. |
IMHO the M-7 would be the way to go for a bayonet.
Cheaper for everyone to buy an M-7 and wood grips on my Phrobis might look |
And an M7 is more "appropriate" for an M16A1 clone....er, of course wood furniture means that it isn't really an M16A1, but you get what I mean, right? |
What they said. I'll shoot an e-mail to Matt. If bayo grips are made what would you prefer? M7 or M9? I prefer M7. |
WOW that looks great! I bet those hand guards were a bitch to make.
I'd be in on the deal once the price is announced. I vote M7 bayo grip. |
woohoo! I've been waiting since the first mention of it and I'm still in

I never quit waiting either but Matt did all the work. |
Hey, I haven't quite waiting either. I still have the rifle I built for the original thread. Way to go Cap. |
That wood is beautiful, I need a set! I'll send ya a set of M7 grips if needed. I've got my old issue bayo right here, just email or IM an address.
Hell yeah - even the first mention like well over a year ago!! I thought the Poobster had dropped the ball or something... |
I got embarrassed on the only two group buys I tried. The guy with the SOCOM receivers sold them out from under me even after I gave him...never mind. Boyd's gave me the run around on these stocks. Matt Shuster is the man!!! Ironwood Designs is da bomb!!! |
Yep - I need to order a nice wood stock set for my SLR-95 one of these days too.... Glad to see this thing finally moving again! |
I just sent Matt a check for a set of AK laminate to send along with my AR wood when it's ready! I am a whore! |
