As long as the can is real, you got yourself a winner. The "can" trumps the Tapco FAL grip and forward grip.
thanks, Ron |

Where can I get a suppressor for my AK 7.62x39??????
While I'm at the SBR paperwork here in Texas. Might as well hook one of those up too!!!! Sweet! |
Looks cool, does the eotech get hot up front??
I love eotech on other rifles and have kobras on the ak's But the Polish troops run em the way you do... Do you shoot reduced ammo through the can to keep extra pressure from deforming the gas tube?? What about 180gr sp w/light charges of bluedot? what about modifying gas port so you can flip between normal and small hole? |
Good lord...... all the questions.. First, NO the Eotech never gets hot mounted on the gas tube and yes its a ULTIMAK rail. Second, Sorry no light charges tried yet. Third, Modiifying the gas port???? What???? Slug-O-Matic |
Any Clue? |
I dont like the setup myself, but if it works for you! I do like the can, how much was it?
Hey, Slug-O, you're right. It is pretty sharp looking. Just double check to see if you don't need to overbore your suppressor since it's for your Remy.
I like it and if you do too that's what matters. Make the way you like it. Not for looks but for function, and if you have that who cares if you have gold beads hanging from it. If it helps you deliver the damage, it works.

+1 Loose the SAW grip. Other than that, frickin cool AK you have there. With a real can....sweet |
You are more of an ATTENTION WHORE THAN I AM!!!!!
But the can nullnifies all wrong doing... |
The grip is to remind me of my Ar and why I like shooting it,BUT nothingis like a 7.62 30 round mag dump!
Its an SRT 30 cal. SHADOW with a TROS thread adaptor.... |
I like it, but I would lose the grip. Other than that,
it is slick as owl shit. |
Since it's not "authentic" with the VFG and forearm, KEEP the SAW grip! I love the feel of that grip, but only have one on my VEPR, since my other AKs are more "authentic", and therefore it would be a sin against nature to defile them with Tapco products. |
How quiet is it? I've heard that AKs have lots of action/piston vent noise so they don't supress well.
He is probably like me and has big hands so anything other than a SAW grip makes the rifle very awkward to shoot. I still don't understand why the AK grip is made for bitch hands.
Anyway on topic, looks good. Does it suppress enough to shoot w/o hearing protection? |
^^^ Zerox that one! ^^^ Congrats, looks like a great set-up!!! AC |
We need a video of you shooting with the suppressor. Really interested in how effective the suppressor is.
Slug-O just likes to take pictures of his guns, he is too busy to shoot them. Why don't you drop them off at Stan's shop and we can make sure they get some use.
Nice, but seriously, lose the grip. It will last you maybe one range session before it starts coming loose.

Slug-O you need light and laser to complete AK tactical advance
nice AK |
I will post a photo tonight with a light that is going on my SBR-15 |
Just looked at a Pentagonlight/laser combo with larue lever..................Sweet!!!!! Just may have to get one for the AK Beast
Nice set-up, Slug-O.
You're tempting me to mount my 5.56 SRT Hurricane on my AK-74M build when Troy completes it. |
Honestly how quiet is that thing? You know they make subsonic rounds for that- I can't remember who makes them though- but I remember they are 112 gr and not standard 123 gr.
Very Nice. Normally, the Saw grip would be be an abomination, but it seems to go well with that setup.
It looks like a very functional setup, and as such, is in harmony with the spirit of the AK. |
