Looking for recommendations on a shop that can replace the barrel on a Romanian PSL-54R. Looking for specializes in AKs and knows their way around this gun. I am assuming that there are replacement barrels out there. Correct me if I am wrong. I picked this gun up locally and it looks like someone fired corrosive ammo through it without cleaning it afterwards and it has not been touched since. If it matters, I am in West TN.

If the barrel cannot be replaced, what is the best way to attempt a good cleaning and remove the rust to inspect for damage without damaging the gun more?

It can definitely be replaced. AK-Builder sells replacement barrels. There's a lot of AK-specific shops that can do it (M13 Ind, Two Rivers Arms, Iron Curtain Customs, etc). I would only look at smiths that have a lot of AK build experience.
