My g/f shot some kind of single stack Sig 9mm pistol that she liked. The problem is I wasn't with her and she does not remember the model number. I am assuming it was a 239, but is there another single stack 9 that sig has made recently?

The 225, and they also made the 220 in 9mm...although not often encountered in the US. The 225 is one very sweet pistol, and most who shoot one really love them.

That must be the one I am thinking of, I knew there was another. Is it still in production?

Not absolutely sure if it is or not. They may have slowed down or stopped importing it since it did not sell all that well after the higher capacity models like the 228/229 came out, but I have heard of new ones in the pipeline, so they can still be found. In my humble opinion, this is the best "feeling" handgun Sig has ever produced.

Yes, the 225 is still in production. Last I heard CDNN had them for $499.00.

I have a P225 and like it better than my P228. It seems to be slightly more accurate, but the biggest advantage is the single stack magazine allows a much more comfortable grip for small hands (which I have). If I had to keep only one 9mm handgun out of the ones I own, the P225 would be my choice.

Little size difference, great shape difference. The 239 is rounded while the 225 is angular. The 225 feels thinner but not by much.

I have a 225 and love it. I only have one problem. Not too many people make holsters for the 225. You almost have to go to a custom holster maker like Milt Sparks, High Noon, etc to get a rig.
