1961 Colt Woodsman Match Target.

Someone let this Woodsman slide around in the bed of a truck for several years. Less than 5% original finish was left on the frame, numerous nicks, scratches and dings. No rust or pitting however. Even had what looked to be a drivers license # scratched into the underside of the barrel. Real ugly but still functioned just fine.

I gave it to Charlie Tilghman of RCS Guns in Van Alstyne, Texas last Wednesday for refinishing. Charlie beadblasted out the rough spots and then parkerized. Got it back yesterday.

Before: (actually looked WORSE than photo)

After: (actually looks BETTER than photo, smudges are oil)

S&W model 22A-1

I know,I know I asked about Rugers but the stories about them being a bitch to take down (even the guy at the store I go to said this) swayed me off

I was looking hard at a Neos, however I walked into my gunshop yesterday and he had this, handeled it (the one model .22 I hadn't yet got to pick up) and decided it was what I was looking for cost $299+Tax.

I also got a 500rd pack of Cyclones=misfire city but it ain't the gun it's the ammo because I load up my fav ammo,CCI Stingers, and she rocks.

The Rem stuff is kinda

I haven't seen much High Standard stuff on this thread so I thought I would post my favorite .22 pistol. It's a 107 Hamden CT High Standard Victor in really great condition. I grew up shooting one of these because my Dad has always shot a Victor. I had an East Hartford Victor but sold it when I found this Hamden model just like my Dad's. After showing it to him, we looked at his and it's only a couple of hundered serial numbers apart! It was one of those cool father son bonding moments. BTW- There are some awesome pistols on this thread! Thanks for sharing.
