Interesting the Girsan MC 14 BDA version has the closed slide just like the Browning BDA 380 but the original Browning BDA used a slide mounted safety which incorporated a decock feature.   The Grissan MC 14 84 version uses the same open slide of the Beretta model 84 which did use the frame mounted safety.   I read Beretta manufactured the Browning BDA.
