That is bad ass.... |

Lot's of good pics here but, this one really plays tricks on my eyes. I like it a lot molsen. The scheme seems to make the weapon morph, if that makes any sense. Matter of fact, I just got dizzy looking at it. = Sly |

I'm really starting to think about painting mine again... Please stop posting such good looking rifles. |

What front sight base / front sight is on this weapon?

^^ That is awesome. If I could afford MC gear, I'd do it all like that. It all blurs together and brakes up the pattern very well. |

Good looking guns here. I'm planning to paint my new 14.5" middy from CMMG.
For the guys with the random camo jobs (i.e. no netting or leaf patterns) what is the best way to get that pattern? A base coat and then random stripes across the gun?? Or is there more precision to it than that? |
I like the Cardboard idea. thanks |

More on cardboard: I use a piece about a foot or so big and take a sharp object and punch/rip out some holes about the size of coins in random fashion, place some shruberry in places over the base coat and then hold the cardboard about 2-4 inches from work changing placment where it looks best and get the nice flectarn effect that is soft on the blending. 3-4 colors mixed in max. I just found this post so it will be just a few b4 i can find a way to upload pics to share of the work, i have a third work in process right now. Nice camo work guys lemme see if this one works... |

Here is my Mini-14 (I know, I know, it's not an AR) painted in Urban flacktarn using a Bulldog Arms template (a fantastic product BTW).

So are y'all just spraying straight onto the rifles with Krylon? I'm totally ignorant to this stuff. My armorer always took care of ours in my previous unit. I want something simple on a 16" rifle I'm building. Cav Arms MkII stock, tan in color already. Figured tan upper and black and brown to break up the color.
Any particular grade/make of Krylon? Prep (like wipe the rifle down with alcohol, etc.)? Quick tips. Thanks, Rich |

What colors did you use (or which colors match multicam)? |
That looks really good...should blend well in just about any environment. BTW - Does your wife know that your rifle was on her counter tops? |
No wife Im only 21 I was pleased with it but wish it would have been more durable. I plan to do my new one soon |
PBIR,
Excuse my ignorance, but what type of rifle is that? Also, all, what has been your experience as far as durability with the Krylon camo jobs? I have read that it comes off (relatively) easy when one wants to change it out compared with going with a Duracoat job. Just wondering if normal handling will take off the Krylon and if so, how long I can anticipate the finish staying on the rifle. |
