Please stand by for all of us to get in line to hate you!!
You know a range report is due by this weekend don't you? |
I didn't even know they were for sale yet.
That rifle looks sweeeeeet. |
Barrel looks like a good length . It seems FN have listened to the whiners here and added a couple of extra inches. Have you measured it yet... 20" ?
Nice. How's it feel shouldered, and does the EOTech feel right on it?
Thats nice, will you be my friend and let me shoot it? I might have to drive down to Federal Way Discount Guns and get one (I'm from Everett). Hows the trigger, I alaways wanted to know what the trigger is like on one of those.
Figured that'd get a rise outta ya. Is there storage or something in that buttstock? Or is it just a hollow space? Last round bolt release left and right side as well as the ability to lock back the bolt like an HK? Gas adjustment in there? How are the mag changes? |
Does the mag drop-free?
How does the barrel attach to the weapon? Is it free-floated? What type of profile is the barrel (light, medium, heavy?) How much does it weigh? How thick is it compared to the M4 (lateral width)? How is it fully ambidextrous with the charging handle on the left side of the weapon? |
ohhh man that is sex as a gun. Im so jealous. I want I want. Get a pic of you or someone holding it with the range report please! I wanna see how it looks with someone.
You lucky bastard.....
we better see a full range report and pics A.S.A.P.!!!! |
Im not really a fan of bullpups, but damn that is cool. Axtually the FN 2000 is one of the few i like once they got rid of that hunk of a optic on top
I'm very interested in the range report. One of the major benefits that is always touted about the bullpup is better accuracy. I'd love to see what kind of groups you can get at 100 yards with quality ammo.

just got home, and I've got to get up in a couple of hours, so tomorrow, I'll post some more pics and try to answer all the questions thats been asked.
real quick, the mag does not drop free, as there are two rubber retainers in the mag well, but it appears that these can be removed, allowing the mag to drop free. The barrel is partially free floated but I have not completely disassembled it to the point where I can provide that accurate of info. In the buttstock, the rear rubber cover slides up to reveal the hollow stock, where the hammer assembly slides in and out. Easy cleaning. The rifle is actually very easy to get to everything and it comes apart with ease. read that as saying it disassembles rather easily, just like an AR. If I am awake enough tomorrow morning when I get home from work, I'll try to get to the range, but I can't promise that. :) This rifle was made to utilize some sort of optic, be it an eotech, or an acog. The front iron site is removable and the rear flip up peep sight is just for backup purposes. The built in sights are not really designed to be primarily used. The forward grip assembly is designed to pop out once you remove the upper barrel unit, and is replaceable with one of the soon to be available options, such as a tri rail, a laser designator, and or a tac light. There is a gas adjustment knob at the front of the rifle. The manual states that the knob is to be at the 12oclock position for standard ammo, and rotated 20 or 30 degrees for substandard ammo. Pretty slick. And yes, it is a gas piston design. No bolt hold open on the last round, at least its not held open when you rack the charging handle with an empty mag installed. The way the spent shell is shot forward and ejected out the front right side is pretty cool. That black top rear cover is the inspection port. The carbine weighs pretty close to a stock M4A3 without any snactical attachments, but believe me, both of my AR carbines are heavy compared to this bullpup. The Eotech is perfect for this carbine. I don't see that I'd ever use my TA31 on this. width wise, its obviously fatter than an AR, but its far more ergonimically friendly than an AR. The barrel is a light profile. since the carbine is so small, length wise, it points real nice when holding it at your waist, tucked under one arm. Isn't it rather sexy. I thought so, thats why I had to have one. Sexy and wicked all in the same package. more later. got to hit the rack. |
the carbine, the manual, an FN window sticker, a standard issue GI AR cleaning kit, complete with an alice clip, a cable lock, and one 30 round no ban AR mag with an FN buttplate. The box has a styrofoam liner, so when you get one fresh from the box like I did, its covered with little styro flakes that needed a compressor blower to clean it all off. Inside and out. Sucks that FN went cheap on the box, but I'm going to be looking for a suitable pelican case anyways. Better than a standard Bushmaster plastic case thats 20 feet too long and doesn't fit in my trunk. :) |
Extremely nice rig, bro. Congrats!!!! I'll be checking back for more info and porn
The PS90 is just like that (hammer group disassembly and styrofoam box).
Can you weigh it?
Can you provide details on how its more ergonomically friendly than the AR? Thanks for answering our questions! |

Waiting for range report as well - if possible, please try for 10 shot groups.
WHAT???!!! You guys actually want me to shoot this thing? I hadn't planned on doing any of that crazyness!!! well before I can shoot it, I've got to get some quality milspec brass cased ammo. I'm not running wolf through this like I do my AR's. |
According to FN, using steel cased ammo such as Wolf will void the warranty. What ammo are you planning to buy? |

Break out the right dye
Nice rifle (going to have to get more serious with my saving for my FS2000 fund) |
Space guns are cool....have you tried it out on any aliens yet?
