Family has an upcoming vacation starting in San Diego ending up in Monterey. Booked Paradise Point for San Diego hopefully that’s a safe bet. Was recommended Cannery Row Inn but the recommendation was several years old. Any insight would be appreciated

It's been too many years to suggest the Marina Motel 6.  We were cheap and it wasn't full of long term "emergency" housed as some Motel 6s are.  these days, who knows.    Just looked at Cannery Row Inn on Travelocity and it looked fine.  Seemed like a very decent price for the area.  Not don't know your family ages but when young our girls enjoyed the Monterey area.  For playground young, Dennis the Menace Park is an early park with imaginative play structures, a few may have been made somewhat more modern (safer?) but lots to climb on, run around, slide on, etc.  Lots of nice rocky beaches, scenic areas, the Aquarium, etc. Plenty to do.
