Wondering if anyone can answer this…

I am about to order a custom Vudoo 22 rifle. Lead times are 3 to 4 months which potentially puts the actual transfer date after the tax goes into affect on July 1st.

Will I be free from the tax since I am purchasing the rifle now, before July 1st, or is the tax going to be assessed based on the transfer date?

It'll be based on when the transfer hits your CA FFL.
