All,

With C&E raising their prices to $12, and banning QTS from their shows (because we stopoped doing their Richmond show, they won't let us do their Dulles show), we are considering doing an old fashioned "Free" gunshow.

Here are some of our ideas:

Held at our Woodbridge location

FREE tables for enthusiasts to buy/trade/sell accessories

Try to have some vendors come in for things we don't do well (ammo for one)

We have kick-ass "gun show" prices on our line of firearms and accessories

Maybe a commerative t-shirt?

Thoughts? Ideas?

Sounds like a cool idea.

Sorry you guys won't be at the Richmond shows (I'm not 2nd guessing your business decisions) but I'm glad you'll be at the Hampton show. Also, sorry the promoter is being a jerk.

It's a little too far for me to make, but have fun!

I have a veritable TON of military surplus stuff, gun parts, mags, etc. that I really want to get rid of, so if this is an event where I could set up a couple tables and put this stuff out that would be sweet!

It is a great idea. If promoted properly the word getting out could bring a large buying crowd

Sounds great to me. I'd make the trip from Richmond... so long as I'm available that weekend.

Maybe someone will: Sell Beef Jerky, Protest the event (MMM), sell me a "miracle" product.

Re: Glock Sales

The only Glocks we stock are "Program" Glocks. Glock restricts us to only sell them to LE, Military (Active, Reserve and Retired) and "First Responders". We can order "civilian" Glocks, but never really thought we could be price competitive on those.

We do have outstanding prices on Springfield Armory, HK and S&W pistols which we can sell to everyone!

I like the idea too.

Reminds me of the tent sale my wife drags me to at Dominion/Dover saddlery each summer. They have a ton of extra inventory brought in by the truck load.

Frankly a lot of shows leave me scratching my head wondering why I paid to get in.

1. That keg of Sam Adams Oktoberfest makes a reappearance.
2. A little advance notice so I can rearrange my work schedule if needed (see the BFE part). December, or is that too cold?

I'm thinking for our inagural show, we'll do a one-day event. Saturday, 17 November.

"Show" hours will be 10-5, with chow served between 11-1 and free beer from 4 till close.

Thoughts?

My friends and I have something planned for that weekend, so there's basically a 50/50 chance I'll make it now. Depends on whether we end up doing it on the 17th or 18th.

Pricing will be good all weekend.

But, the free tables/swap meet, chow and beer will be on Saturday.

I've been waiting for the gun show for some time as I'm finally ready to buy my first AR and tactical shotgun. I've always been one to support the local shops. I bought my G19 from you guys. This is great that you guys at QTS have updated your site, sent out emails with specials and now inviting us for a gun show. I'm bringing my Marine buddy that just got back from Iraq. He wants an AR as well!

One question though: is this event OC-friendly? I normally OC cause I don't have a CCW.

Unlike "gun shows", we do NOT have signs which say "No Loaded Weapons - Your Concealed Carry Permit is not Welcome Here". I repeat we do NOT have such signs in ANY of our stores.

This event is DEFINITELY going on the 17th and 18th. We'll probably have the special pricing on both days, but only have the "events" (tables to buy/sell/trade), chow and beer on the 17th.

Details to follow NLT Wednesday of next week.
