Doing a couple of industrial facility audits in Houston area, then down to Brownsville for one. Next week. Half a day and a night in a Hampton then back to Houston. Sharing a room with an illegal? Safe enough?

You'll be fine. Brownsville ain't Laredo or Eagle Pass. All things considered, it's pretty tame for being a bordertown. I spend a few weeks down there per year, and I've had no problems. In fact I'm considering an offer to shut my company down for an opportunity down there.
