The Surefire SOCOM556 SB2 Suppressor is the lightest purpose-built 5.56 short-barrelled suppressor on the market. It's lightweight, weighing only 17 ounces, and can add as little as 3.8 inches to the rifle's overall length. On a 10.5 inch rifle, it keeps the weight and length less than a full-size 16-inch carbine. The Surefire SB2 uses a large bore diameter and unique internal design to minimize suppressor blowback to the shooter. It has been optimized for use with barrels less than 10 inches in length.
