This AR15 platform 7.62x39 chambered 16 inch barrel is machined from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium steel with a QPQ Corrosion Resistant Finish and QPQ coated M4 feed ramp extension. RTB 7.62 barrels feature specialized WIDE feed ramps to ensure every round seats smoothly in the chamber.
Quench Polish Quench (QPQ) is a specialized type of nitrocarburizing case hardening that increases corrosion resistance. It is also known by the brand names of H&M Blacknitride+ (black nitride), Tufftride, Tenifer, or Melonite. QPQ is a huge improvement over chrome lined barrels. Unlike chrome lining, where the chrome is built up on the surface, QPQ converts the surface without the risk of dimensional build up. QPQ makes your gun's metal 10 times stronger than it was originally, increases the velocity of your barrel by a few hundred feet-per-second, and slickens the surface to make your gun extremely lubricated.
This Black Nitride 7.62x39 Complete BCG is ready to be dropped into your 7.62x39 AR build. A common issue with standard firing pins is that they do not protrude far enough to reliably ignite 7.62x39 primers. This Premier 7.62x39 BCG features a bolt assembly with a shortened bolt tail, allowing the standard firing pin to protrude farther than it would with a standard bolt, thus eliminating this issue. There's no need for heavier hammer springs to ensure reliable ignition.
