Had some cold beers and bubba'd up a very nice, brand new set of Russian Red Kalashwood furniture for stamped AKM pattern rifles. Thought I'd add a QD sling mount and drilled some holes right where the front trunion is. Only the lower handguard was ever mounted, and that was for about 3 seconds until I realized my doing and the tears came.

Imported from Russia and refinished by Kalashwood.

Couldn't live with my shame and ordered a replacement set. This is actually the replacement set; I just took the new lower handguard. Brand new they're $300 before tax and shipping.
