I've spent two years collecting these pieces and put them all into one iconic piece of history. Here is the parts breakdown:

The upper receiver is the Colt A1 which was used in the 20" rifle along with the 10" & 11.5" carbine configurations. This is the military/preban version with the small milspec front takedown hole, not the neutered sporter with the large one. It has the typical markings of "C H" (Colt Harvey) with the original dark gray finish. The finish is 90% present, being one of the best I've seen. There is some fading along the middle of the carry handle portion along with the very end of the forward assist section.

The charging handle shares the same dark gray finish with some minor finish loss around the center and the latch. The bolt is a Colt C-stamped full auto BCG with an MPC marked bolt to accompany it. Neither part appears to have seen serious use.


The barrel is a Colt Commando 11.5" with the markings "C MP CB". The barrel is chrome lined and has a shiny bore in excellent condition. FSB has had its bayonet lug ground off in the factory and is F marked. The handguards are the Colt carbine clamshells. They have a single heat shield on each end compared to the double shields that would become common later on. They have the iconic glossy finish and there are no damage or cracks to either half.


Due to NFA regulations the muzzle is the only thing that is not Colt. It is a reproduction flash hider and not a real moderator. It is made by H&R with the period correct phosphate finish and it matches the finish on the Colt barrel very well. Comes with the grenade ring for the correct look. It is not pinned and can be swapped out with whatever you want.
