German firefighter's dress bayonet.  Blade is stamped 'E.u.F. Horster Solingen'.  Blade is in excellent original unsharped condition.  Steel pommel and base both have an aged patina from storage but would clean to excellent condition.  Scabbard is in great condition with functioning internal spring for retention. Scabbard does show signs of wear with some scratches, particularly around the belt hook, but is 95% condition.

This piece has been in storage for 70 years.  It is believed to have come from the same person who was awarded an Austrian Gold Merit Cross.  That merit award is for sale in a separate listing.  It is pictured here alongside the bayonet only because the items are historically related and relevant to one another.
