The 1965 Lightweight Rucksack (FSN 8465-782-3248) design featured a riveted aluminum tubular frame rather than the welded frame of the experimental (P64) and early production models. It also had a thin waist strap with a snap hook in place of the P64 versions quick-release belt. In addition the riveted frame model boasted a redesigned cargo shelf.

These were made by Trenton Textiles.
