How does the CNC brace feel to shoot?  Does it dig into the shoulder?  It kind of looks like it would.  The only brace Ive ever used is the SBA3.

Not at all.  But it's not like 7.62x39 has a ton of recoil anyway.

I love my brace too.   Purchased a pad for it.  Thinking I am going to have to drill and thread for the pad.   Has anyone ran into this ?

I believe modifying braces is a no no... as has been discussed here in the  past. Though honestly,  i cant say that I've actually seen an ATF letter posted even recognizing this item as a legit brace.

I haven’t really had a good feeling going to range with this brace for that very reason

Per the ATF:

As of December 10, 2019, ATF is no longer issuing classification letters for firearm accessories, including stabilizing braces.

Essentially, if it's designed as a brace, the ATF assumes that's what it is. Until they don't.

I used the info here and drilled it 1/2" up from the bottom, centered side to side:

https://www.cncwarrior.com/PAP-Buttstock-Drill-Kit-p/26535.htm

As long as you're centered sideways I don't think it matters if you're off a hair, since the adapter has a long slot that the bolt slides into.  You have some leeway  up and down, and the adapter has tabs on the top and bottom that locate it vertically on the receiver.

ETA:  This was on a Draco, YMMV on other models.

I bought this jig when I did my M92. It was worth every penny. Took a couple of minutes and the hole is aligned perfectly.

Don’t count on either getting an approval letter now that a complete firearm with brace must be submitted for approval.

Between that requirement and SB Tactical selling the SBA3 without a specific approval letter I’ve not seen any manufacturer advertising an approval letter.

The CNC/Bonesteel folding Galil style brace is designed to fit on a flat trunnion(rear of the receiver) and mounts with a bolt that passes thru a hole you must drill yourself. It’s designed to fit around the rear of the receiver with some small tabs that act as a guide to keep it straight. Since there’s a Draco and an M92 version, it’s not a universal fit.

Does the PSA AK pistol use that ‘puzzle piece’ rear tab like their AK rifles?

Is this the latest armbrace ruling. I haven't been keeping up with the rulings.
I'm also trying to decide on a brace between SB & CNC W./Bonesteel and although I'm aware that these so called letters and rulings can be overturned on a dime, I'm trying not to get harassed by LEO's or my local range officers.

i've got a Draco coming my way, and am debating putting a warrior brace on it as well.  I have one on my AKV, but the attachment method is completely different.  can i ask you to take a few more detailed pictures of the adapter/hinge? and if not to much trouble the inside of the rear trunnion?  i'm trying to wrap my head around it.

I just saw this. Lemme take some pics in the AM. @ttushooter

I'm fairly certain the model for the Draco is somewhat different.

If you want one, you better order one now homie. They're discontinuing them

They only have multicam and OD left. I just ordered another one in OD for my Bulgy triangle stock. I put my SAM7K cleaning kit in it.

@luv_the_huskers

So is that a left side folder?
Trying to order but confused as to right or left.
If I want it to fold to the left, do I select left in drop down menu?
Or does that refer to right handed or left?

That is a left folder. I selected "stamped AK - left" and received exactly that.

FWIW I’ve got both the Bonesteel folding Galil stock & brace, love em.
Both times I ordered it was at least two weeks before I got a ship notification, these are made in small batches and they were waiting for parts. Both times I sent an email asking for a status and got an answer in a day or two. When they said it’ll ship on this day, it did.
Worth the wait.

Hey guys, just got a Zastava zpap92 with the Sb 1913 triangle brace. The trunnion has the rail section on the back obviously. I saw someone else posted the question earlier, but does the hole from the rail section match up with the Cnc brace so I don’t have to drill? I have this brace on order. Looking at all the pics on this thread I’m psyched. Looks awesome.

Ordered my brace from bonesteel on 29 April.

Got the order confirmation but nothing since then.  The brace was supposedly in stock when I ordered it. Granted The website it said 1-6 weeks for delivery on the day I placed the order so I’m still patiently waiting.

Your stock/brace isn't going to be done faster if you contact them. From their site:

At this time we are doing everything we can to fulfill orders as quickly as possible but due to prolonged, extremely high demand, we have had to resort to extraordinary measures in this effort. Every pre-purchase question and ETA request that we take time to respond to in an intelligent manner, burns valuable time and helps get us further and further behind. And the more questions we answer, the more questions we get.... So for now, we can only promise to deal with urgent matters and customers will have to choose whether that will suffice for their needs.

Thank you for supporting us during these crazy times.

It doesn't make it ship out faster, but it sure eases my mind that it is moving along.

If I order an in stock item and it's been 3 weeks without update/disclaimer, why wouldn't I contact them. Especially since I was charged about $165 before the item shipped (that kinda sucks by the way but it is what it is).

It pretty much went like this:
Me: "Hi can I get an order update"

Them: "Sorry we are swamped, they will probably go out in 1-2 weeks"

Me: "Okay cool, no problem; thanks for the update"

Short and sweet, probably took 5 minutes and I won't be bothering them again.

I'm only seeing the Covid statement from March, where did you find that one?

I also ordered around then with no issues.
