I just picked up a MAK90 in trade to complement my NHM91. I used the little mountain and moon icon to insert the photo like on all the other forums I participate in to no avail. When editing I see the [img] stuff before and after the URL including the slash. Oh well. |

Here is a cut and paste from Chicom47.com: GLNIC: Was a company incorporated in Los Angeles, California in May of 1986. They were reportedly an import company owned exclusively by the PLA. I started out with this: A little sanding, with some red dye added to Amber Shellac, and a different grip later and this is what I ended up with:  This is also my milled MAK-90 that I put a lot of hours into roughly 10 years ago:  It was in rough shape when I picked it up, hence the reason I refinished it. For the life of me, I don't know why they sanded off the Poly Tech stamp on the other side. |

I'm posting my only 3 AK again because my Photobucket was messed up in page 8 of this same pic thread. I also had a pre ban PolyTech down folding stock with wood furniture but a good friend bought it from me during the ban because he can't find any good quality AK that time. I bought all these new back in early 1989 before the import ban in mid '89, they're still in pristine excellent condition with low round count only testing every year or two to verify they're in good working condition. |

Don't see many Chicom AKs here in Astan. This one is a Type 56 produced by factory 416. Stock and PG has been replaced. SN on receiver, op rod and recoil rod. No muzzle nut or flash hinder on muzzle thread. Cleaning rod was a locally produced rod. Gun headspaces and function fired on semi and auto.
