 Failed To Load Title Putnik is a great can with an oversized bore for alignment issues. Having said that my PSA AKP has been great and I’ve run numerous .30 cal cans on it. |

I’d say the Putnik or Zastava Zvuk would be my top choices for an AK-specific suppressor. If I remember, they use the now more-standard hub format adapters? Guess the Wolverine is fine too, Dead Air just seems to be inconsistent with support lately. Been issues with the thread adapters being available when I last looked. Heavy too. As far as AKs, the best chances are probably American made ones given that barrel making is largely an automated thing here. For many of the imported ones, they are probably fine, but you have to hope you got one that wasn’t made during Monday’s hangover or Friday’s weekend celebration.  I think FB Radom, WBP, Zastava are usually solid. Romanian and Russian seemed more susceptible to non-concentric over the years. Probably not fair to the Romanian ones since a lot of those threads were cut by Century. Always check with an alignment rod or even a flashlight - when they’ve been off, they are noticeably off. |

Dead Air Wolverine FTW! Just picked mine up recently, and I wouldn’t run anything else on an AK platform…or run that can on anything other than an AK for that matter. It’s no lightweight at 24-ounces but the main reason I bought it was because by design it’s very forgiving of barrel concentricity; so it’s one less thing to worry about. The trade-off with its looser tolerances means it’s not going to have the best peak dB reduction out there. There’s no shortage of cans that will fit AKs with the right mounts/adapters and will weigh less and have a higher dB reduction than the Wolverine…but if it doesn’t look like a Soviet/Russian PBS-01, me no likely! I’m currently running it (until I get the nationwide back ordered adapter for my Arsenal SAM7K) on my WASR (Midwest Industries) “Alpha” build and with the KNS piston and it runs great… As far as which AK has the best chance for being concentric…? None. That’s a complete crap shoot and NOT one I’d risk a baffle strike on a brand new can. A suppressor clearance rod is cheap insurance and while the SureFire and Geissele ones are a spicy meatball there’s plenty of affordable ones out there. I have stamped and milled Arsenals, Yugos, WASR, etc. and there’s no reliable indicator that any one is better or “more” concentric than the other, and last I checked, unless it’s a custom build there’s NO manufacturer that’s stating/guaranteeing that their barrel threads are concentric… |

I have a Arsenal SAM7K, WBP Mini Jack, KUSA KP-104, 7.62 Beryl, 5.56 Beryl, Gen 2 5.56 Galil ACE, and RnL 5.56 ACE. Only the two Beryl's and ACE's have been concentric. The others were so far out I would've destroyed a standard suppressor. The Putnik has made the others suppressable |

My wasr and yhm resonator work well. Adjustable gas makes it much more pleasant to shoot. I used one from definitive arms. Took some tinkering but I like it a lot. You need to check with an alignment rod with whatever you get. I would expect to have better odds with an American made barrel, but you still need to check. |

My vote is for HUXWRX. I run a 14x1 LH flash hider on my Zastava, and a variety of other flash hiders from HUXWRX on my “Gucci” AKs I own (including a Sig 553R). I firmly believe they are the best suppressors I have used on the AK platform solely because of heat mitigation.
