Another board member has listed an AR15 I would like to buy. To fund the buy, I'm listing a '93 MAADI ARM imported by Intrac/ACC, Knoxville, TX and all internal numbers match including the dust cover. I have removed the tac weld on the muzzle nut, thumbhole stock and hand guards and added Ironwood furniture which I have stained. The FCG is U.S. The receiver is marked with the number 54 inside a shield. I no longer have the thumb hole furniture, FCG or manual. Less than 60 rounds through it with no problems. I will also be selling 6/30 round magazines and 913 rounds of Tula 7.62x39 FMJ ammo.
My problem is I can't come up with a reasonable price to list this MAADI at. It's been awhile since I've seen one listed on the EE board, or I might have just missed the listing. I went to Gunbroker and Auction Arms as well as the internet and still can't come up with a consistent price to list it at. I know what I want for the mags & ammo. Since time is ticking on the AR, I didn't just want to throw out a price and hope. Please let me know your thoughts and suggestions on selling the MAADI along with the ammo & mags.

Well man, you have choices to evaluate. Before everyone went into mortal fear our govt is gonna make it impossible to get one of the nice Ak's, A fair price for all you are selling with it......In my opinion. Woulda been about 700 to 800. In all honesty tho. As nice as it looks you could probably hose someone for 1000 or more as long as none of the original firing operations have been messed with. If anyone else doesnt agree with me, its ok. This is my opinion. I have an ARM identical to the one u have other than my pistol grip is not wood it is the brown plastic handle. I LOVE mine. If I was someone looking for a really good AK, I would prolly take a long look at yours.

Best bet is to find someone who wants a really nice egyptian Ak, and yours looks mint. If I had a nice AR to trade ya I wouldn't have been able to type fast enough. Been drooling over it since you posted pics in "what it's worth", on the AKForum like 3 weeks ago. Egyptian Ak collectors are a really small subgroup it seems tho. Egyptian AK folks will have no problem dropping 250 on a crutchfolder stock or buy an entire parts kit just to get an arabic site ladder or trigger guard. Bayonets are another story with crazy prices. I just paid 35 for a mag pouch and I considered it an awesome deal.(how often do you see egyptian mag pouches for sale?). If you want what its worth to you let it ride until it sells, or price it to move and see it sell in minutes. Colt 6920's are everywhere for like 1100-1300 shipped. Your AK will never be for sale anywhere except here, other forums, or gunbroker. If for some strange reason you still have it in feb. send me a PM. I'd love to blow my tax money on your AK. |
