Anyone have experience with Jebs Arms? I bought this rifle second hand and then noticed the barrel is misaligned. I contacted Jebs and he said he'd make it right. I offered to pay for the fix and would like to get it SBRed. He stopped replaying and has not responded in several weeks now. Might be 2-3 months. I'm not super well versed in the AK world so I wasn't sure if this was even safe to shoot? When I aim with it the left front sight protective ear becomes my front sight unless I move my head or rifle.Attached File Attached File Attached File |
| Is the barrel actually bent? My first thought was that maybe the buttstock assembly is out of whack. I know next to nothing of the AK but that was my first thought when I saw the view from the reear sight. |

Never heard of Jebs Arms. Where do you guys find these builders? Take a picture from top down with the dust cover off. I'm sure everyone is curious. I screwed up the rear trunnion my first time and got it out of square by just a millimeter or so. That's all it takes. It was very noticeable. I had to drill out the rivets and redo it. The most likely way for the barrel to have been bent is when being pressed into the trunnion....and it's 10 to 1 the receiver would bend (or the rivets deform allowing the trunnion to shift) well before the barrel. If you're putting that much force onto the barrel to press it in that it bends.....you're doing it the wrongest. I'd be interested in seeing the receiver laid against a known-flat surface to see what's going on. |
