Just finished this one. Im pretty jaded and I'll even say it turned out gorgeous. 308 Yugo M77 built on a Tortort milled receiver. Decided to blue it. Riley Defense brought in a bunch of M77 kits in from overseas. Riley built a few but went cheap and didn't bother refinishing or changing the wood going for the ghetto "battlefield pickup look" . Yeah, I dont do that. I think they were in the Congo last after starting out in the Cypriot Army. Wood was trash Replaced that. I came to this forum today to ask if anyone had gotten a 308 kit recently - That is really beautiful Where did you get the replacement furniture? I'm pretty good at cleaning up Yugo furniture - did a few sets back in the day by boiling them in water and TSP several times and then soak in wood bleach to get them clean and bright but new would be great |
| I got the buttstock off gunbroker and the forend wood from zeleney's in the Czech republic. I am not a fan in any way of the battlefield pick up look. Ive got M76 grips stuck in customs for th elast month I want to put on these but Im afraid they may be zeized/stolen by customs by this point. |
