I miss the salad days when these kits first arrived. Arabic marked crutch folders. All matching kits.

I grabbed an Arabic marked fixed stock kit when they first came in. I don’t remember how much it was but it wasn’t four figures like these current ones. The return on investment for anything surplus AK is better than the stock market. I’m serious.

$200 from Keepshooting.com back in 2012 when they first came to the US in significant numbers. Also found the email from Copes when these hit (I miss Copes):

Keep scouring the planet for kits. Especially see if you can get the Finns to give up a few East German AKs they got saved for a rainy day. Maybe offer them a swap for some M4s or AR15’s?

Bought mine from Apex along with a virgin WASR populated barrel for $50 or $75.  Been meaning to build it for years, just haven't had the time.
