Finally finished, maybe I'll add a Tromix Knob?
The Zhukov U is kinda under rated for full size rifles. It's an inch and a half shorter and only weighs about 9 oz (The lower handguard that is) Probably will cool off faster too since the gas block isn't completely shrouded by the handguard. I chopped my retainer because some dipstick in Romania made the retainer channel a bit too big. A lot of hand guards had noticeable wobble to them. Couldn't use Zenitco B30 sadly

Just finished this AKM up today at Rifle Dynamics in Las Vegas in their 3 day AK Builder class. Absolutely amazing experience and the AK I ended up with is a finely tuned machine that works extremely well. I couldn't possibly be happier with the Fuller's and this AKM

Just finished up this Romanian AKM on a Polish 80%. Sanded the receiver down to prep for paint but I'm kind of liking the "battleworn" finish as it matches the rest of the rifle... Hmm....

Didn't have time to strip the paint tonight as I was too busy helping a buddy build his very first AK. He's working on a very similar build to my most recent. Anyway, this is far from a quality photograph but here's how it sits currently.

It'll be the 4th AK I've built in a month.. I definitely have got the bug! I've helped one buddy build one, mid build on another (just need to populate the barrel on Friday), and I have 4 more friends/ family that are waiting to build theirs next!
And thanks regarding the LMT comment! Love those MRPs!

Year 2 of carrying my M77 through the woods for a week during hunting season. Actually a very comfortable rifle to carry, and with the resurgence of wolf and cougar in our usual area I'm glad to have it.
