IDF S'13 AK clone

I took a little license with this one, using a Bulgarian-style AK-74.
It needs some work on the finish.

How is the sight picture with that, is it green like other Meprolight?

It is slightly blueish - you can see it if you close your week eye and look through it with one eye - you can see the contrast between the sight and the peripheral view around the sight. It is to ensure a good contrast against like colours to the reticle. This is most noticeable if you try to shoot at small pieces of orange clay pigeons - they disappear if they are on grey rocks. Other shades of orange do not totally turn grey, but will have good contrast with the reticle.

With both eyes open, you don't even notice the tint.

I like this sight because the dot is very fine and very precise, yet there is always a dot on no matter what, like the M21.

My Arsenal SGL21.  I liked the way it looked straight out of the box best, but with the stuff I've added it's very comfortable for me now.

Congrats! Looking for my second in the next year.

You can make that wood look sharp with a little sanding and your choice of finish. ALso, you can dremel off that spot weld on the barrel nut on the muzzle and put a traditional slant brake or whatever hider you like on there. Touches up nice with a Birchwood Casey touchup pen.

Rebuilt my first build...added a side rail and re-installed the long rivets and added trigger guard rivets. G kit on an NDS receiver with Soviet upper handguard, pistol grip and butt stock. Lower hand guard is Egyptian. None of the furniture matches, yet it does in a way. Finish is high gloss enamel applied thick a la MAADI. Many thanks to the various EE/market places on the main AK forums.
